"We had a fantastic stay here! The staff Alex and the team, were super friendly and had even planned daily group activities. We ordered the dinner set and it was incredible! We were able to get a ride to and from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend giving them a call if you need to (we just used a payphone) as there was issues with sending messages on this website. "I loved staying at this hostel, as it had an awesome vibe. The hostel and town were like something out of Totoro. It is a nice quaint area and the hostel embodies this. The staff and owner bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. It was during the world cup, so they put all the games up on a projector. The scenery was absolutely stunning and they even had swimwear and water shoes to rent if you wanted to go for a dip or use the saunas! Our cabin was beautiful, and clean. Our only regret would be not spending longer here :) Thank you Alex and the team for our incredible stay! "

"1min walk from Oita JR station, where there was shopping, many dining options and a supermarket. The in-house onsen was excellent. The laundry facilities were surprisingly free of charge, but there’s a charge for dryers. Buffet breakfast was amazing serving many traditional Japanese items that we were glad to try. It’s a very convenient base to visit the surrounding towns of Beppu and Yufuin. "
