"Ok experience. Nothing more and nothing less. Two Norwegians pretty used to comfort and good accommodations, and this wasn’t all the way as expected at this price level, even though it’s Serengeti. The staff were very bad in English, so we found ourselves lost in translation very often. Which made planning a safari a bit of a challenge. However, our safari guide was fantastic. The food was ok, but variety was not good at all. The worst: This hotel is MUCH more expensive than they disclose...

"We booked this lodge almost a year ago. It is a new and there were no reviews at the time of booking. We arrived at 1330 and we were not able to access our room until 1400. Once we entered the room the temperature was well over 90F/32C. There is no fan in the room. There are two small windows in the rear, however there is no screen to keep the bugs out. "Great stay - clean tent, good food, fantastic staff, in the park so zebras on the doorstep! The only issues were that a) the bathrooms have no doors - which isnt good when you are 3 friends staying in 1 room - and there is a doorframe so goodness knows why there are no doors! And b) there was a grass fire which came very near the hotel and there was zero comminication about whether we were safe or not - simply saying "it will be fine" doesnt really do anything to reassure guests who arent used...

"The location of the hotel listed on Hotels.com is incorrect. Since there are no signs indicating the hotel’s direction from the road, it would have been impossible to find it on our own. Thankfully, the rangers escorted us, and we were able to locate it. The Wi-Fi is not working. That said, the staff is excellent—always kind and helpful. The food is delicious, and the lunch box service is especially valuable when heading out on a game drive."
