This property is in an excellent position, 5mins to Hikkaduwa by tuk tuk and 40mins by bus to Galle. It is away from all tourism, quiet and relaxing. The locals in the area are very friendly and always say Hello, Good Morning when they see you or just give you a wave. It has much to do nearby and the beautiful private beach is only 5mins away.

From the moment you step into cape welligama to the moment you leave, you are being looked after by the staff with such immense care and attention to detail. The responsiveness and personalisation is excellent, and a level of service I have not encountered in any hotel before. The resort is well set up for young families, and our room had easy access to what felt like a very private swimming pool. The swimming pools are set to have great views, and we had monkeys and peacocks come to say hello....

Suite Lanka is such a lovely place. We stayed for 11 days so longer than most and throughout our stay the staff didn’t put a foot wrong. This is what makes this place special. If you want an ultra modern bland hotel then this is definitely Not your place. Our rooms ( pool suite and adjoining room) were comfortable and spacious, with good air con and beautiful bathrooms. Stunning hotel with exceptional hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and very highly recommend the hotel.

First time in Sri Lanka. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us, a superb room with a balcony offering a beautiful beach view. We stayed five nights and didn't bother to eat anywhere else - the food was excellent. We wanted to take the chef home with us. We took long walks along the beaches and spent a lot of time in the wonderful hotel grounds and by the very stylish infinity pool. We want to visit Sri Lanka again soon...

The hotel was absolutely excellent, very comfortable, lovely staff, amazing breakfast and a beautiful pool area. It’s slightly out of town but a short tuk tuk ride away from the main sights and worth it for the historic building and setting.

Amazing, clean and great location hotel! This is right on the beach with its own secluded pool, relaxation area and just steps to the sea. The staff are great and the room we were given were amazing!

Amazing stay, with great and attentive staff. Beautiful property, which overlooks the ocean and you can watch the surfers whilst eating breakfast etc. Would recommend!

There is a hotel in relatively small spot (100m) between 4 lane highway and rail. A breakfast served was constant, so if you're an egg fan - welcome You need to cross 4 lane road to reach the beach. The beach is perfect both for swimming and surfing There is no SPA

A family business run by Himmel. The property sits right next to Bentota Lagoon. There is a daily shuttle to and from the beach. The accommodation is in a block of two floors. The rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a large furnished patio or balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon. The rooms are kept very clean by very friendly staff. Loved this property. The reception was so friendly and welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food and drinks (aside from one mistake) was good and reasonably priced. We often had the beach to ourselves. A few things, such as the gym and probably do with a bit of an update/clean but it was the end of the season and there were very few people to use it. The TV was good for English speakers, should you want news or movies. The hair dryer and mirror were outside of the shower and toilet area,...

Good property near the beach. The suite was value for money as it was off season. Enjoyed the stay.

Nice hotel and place to relax, only things to maybe improve would be to add some ventilation to the bathroom as it turned into a sauna and to maybe increase the amount purchased for the restaurant as it did regularly not have my first choice of food - not great as there aren't many other options in the locality

We had a wonderful stay at Villa 80. Our room was comfy and Henry, his wife and staff couldn't do enough for us. The tranquil garden was a real haven and the pool was a bonus. We weren't far from excellent beaches and the railway station. A tuktuk was available to run us to wherever we wanted to be whether to the local market or local gardens. And the breakfasts were excellent.

Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were fresh with a good range of choices, regularly changed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Methuli on the front desk was particularly helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to planning a return visit

Lovely lazy time by poolside

Very lovely place to stay in Ahangama. Beach is wide unlike other hotels. You can watch surfing in the morning. Rooms are big, air con great, food taste and staff amazing.
