"The staff were all friendly. The little elderly lady who fixed breakfast was so sweet and kind. The kind of person grandkids would love to hug all the time. Room 209, the carpet was worn and filthy. We wore our flip flops to keep our feet clean. We didn't have any body soap in the shower. The bed was awesome! Slept like a baby. The pool was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It was just one light away from our favorite ice cream shop, Paradise Ice Cream!!!!"

"The pool and pond area are nice - loved watching the turtles and even watched a heron catch a couple of fish! The employee working the beach shuttle and the pool was very helpful and friendly. Only negative was the fact that toilet paper is not supplied in the room once you run out. Thought that was strange!"

"They never came and cleaned are room. The pool was closed the ice machine was out of order everything was nasty and when I ask them to clean my room she gave me the sheets and I did them and so we left 2 days early and when we was leaving nobody ever came to the counter to check us out so I left the keys on the counter. I never complain about anything but this was crazy and they was just 4 people working there. This was the frist time I took my grandson on vacation and he loves to swim but we went to the beach and he don't want to stay there that long who does and he was ill because we didn't have a pool . I was very disappointed. We go to the one in Anderson SC every other weekend to take my grandson so he can swim and they are awesome. We love them in Anderson at the country inn suites but not at the beach . But yall do what yall have to. Because I know they want do anything and I am not mad at yall I just upset with the way we was treated. Thank you Sherry Brown"

"The room was nothing as described in the Expedia listing. The pictures are not of the room we were given. Our room was unclean, paint was pealing from the ceiling, there were old paper towels lining the silverware drawer. The carpet in the bedrooms was dirty. The mirror in the bathroom was pealing. The pool was closed for construction. It had been drained and had dirty standing rain water in it. There was a sign at the front desk that had clearly been there for a while. It stated that the property was under a fire alert because the sprinkler system wasn't working and they needed time to have it fixed. I looked at the sprinklers in the room and they were so covered in dust and grime that you almost couldn't tell what they were. There was not a smoke detector in the entire unit. This is a wood siding building and the siding was hanging off of the sides of the building. The views of the marsh and water were very pretty, but you had to look past the pool to see them. The location is great for walking to the beach, shopping and a few restaurants. We enjoyed the beach bar with music located on the peer."
