"This was my first time staying at Tropical Winds. It was pet friendly, and that was a bonus, so I decided to load up my best buddy, and ride over to Daytona Beach and give it a try. My room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a huge counter with lots of space. There were 5 large drawers in the room, so a good amount of space for clothes. There was a cute table with 2 chairs, and a nice large desk with a rolling chair. It also had a kitchenette with an oven, stove, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave and a sink. The view of the ocean, from the room, was spectacular. The property, itself, was clean and comfortable. All the employees I encountered with were friendly and helpful. I especially liked the young lady (I’m sorry for not getting her name) with the gorgeous, turquoise, hair that worked at the front desk in the evenings. She checked me in when I arrived and was so informative and helpful. She gave my dog a treat the moment we walked in, and then she actually sat down on the floor and interacted with my kind of skittish and anxious dog. I thought it was incredibly kind of her to spend some time with him. 😊 I had a nice time. I will definitely be back!"

"This place was everything I was hoping for. The room and all common areas were very clean and inviting. The pool was amazing and it is right on the beach! I couldn't ask for more."

"CHECK IN WAS HORRIBLE!!!! There is no one at the front desk, no one would answer the phone. We were told we were on the 8th floor but the elevator only went to the 4th. We were never told there was another set of elevators on the other side of the hotel. I had to stop other guest and get them to help us find our room. I told them we needed 2 parking passes, only received one and only told after we got there that is all they give you. Had to pray our other vehicle did not get towed while we slept! This is after we had to figure out where to park because they closed down their parking garage! Oh! had to get other guest to show us where to park at. The pools were clean, and our "Ocean View" was obscured by the rooftop and over 40 a/c units. But after looking up and past that, you could see the ocean. The room itself though outdated, it was clean. It was ok for the money but we will NEVER stay there again. "

"This place was an absolute DUMP! The room was beyond filthy, the "on site" parking wasn't even enough for half of their guests, not to mention the staff taking up many of the available spots, the staff at the desk were rude, dismissive and flat out LIARS. I have video of the evening desk clerk showing and telling me it was ok to park in a specific place, then woke up to a note on my car threatening to tow it. When confronted, they denied it all. When told to watch the video, they just made excuses. Our room was NEVER cleaned. We had to beg for fresh towels, sheets and even toilet paper. There was hair in the shower, urine under the toilet, mold in the cabinets, and the floor was so dirty that our socks turned black. We had to wear flip flops in the shower just to keep from being disgusted. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. Getting help was impossible as the desk staff was always either sleeping in their car or taking photos on the beach deck. But never available to take care of a guest."

"Great staff. Clean room. We arrived a day early and they gave us a standard room which was fine, the next day they had us moved to our ocean view room early and even moved our luggage for us. Great time"
