"Good gym. Broke elevator and poor noisy stairwell doors. The night lady working is super good. Beds and showers were very nice and a decent to good breakfast. "

"This was my third stay at The Principal Hotel. The history of this property is unique and the rooms are amazing - essentially in brand-new condition and very tastefully designed and decorated. I've eaten at the adjoining restaurant, the Graphite, on one occasion. Amazing food! (When the Graphite is closed on Mondays, I eat at the Thai House restaurant within blocks of the hotel. Delicious and affordable meals!) The hotel is easy to get to and Columbia seems like a nice, safe town. I plan on staying at The Principal Hotel each time I travel through the area rather than staying in or near St. Louis which is what I used to do. "

"Advertise indoor pool, but water freezing as no one had turned the heater in the 2 days we were there. Morning continental breakfast - no milk, oatmeal or meat to go with eggs. "

"I had a pleasant stay at the Hampton. I have stayed there multiple times. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. It is starting to show its age a bit, but not enough to not stay again. The facilities are much better than most hotels. I would definitely stay there again."

"Parking was comfortable and safe to park. We always stay at this site because of the cleanliness and very comfortable beds! Breakfast is wonderful!"

"Badly in need of an update. Missing electric plates. Broken cord on clock radio. Rust on bedside lamps. Musty smell. Not up to Comfort Inn standards! Would not stay here again. "
