If the crowds and hawkers of Pattaya start to become too much for you, a day spent relaxing on Crescent Moon Beach is the perfect antidote. Situated just north of Pattaya Beach and part of the large stretch of sand known as Wong Amat, Crescent Moon Beach offers a serene alternative to the city’s main beach. Bring a book, hire a sun lounger, kick back and relax!
Crescent Moon Beach is largely respected as a tranquil area, so you’re less likely to find vendors, motorboats and jet-skis, and there are fewer tourists. Situated further back from the road, the peace and quiet allows the natural scenery to take centre stage, and you can spend a whole day enjoying the gentle sounds of the ocean and the wind rustling through the palm trees.
The beach is home to a number of good cafés and simple restaurants, so you can order lunch and a cocktail while you sit back and enjoy the view. Treat yourself to a Thai massage, offered by women on the beach.
There is a water park located in the Centara Grand Hotel just behind the beach, which is ideal if you are travelling with children. Open to the public for a small fee, the water park has been cleverly designed to resemble a natural environment, with waterfalls and different waterslides.
Crescent Moon Beach is situated just north of Pattaya Beach, between Naklua Beach and Palm Beach. You can drive here and park on nearby Naklua Road.
