"I like the location of the hotel. It’s a walking distance from the train or bus station. And, it is so close to the center of Colmar. The grocery store is just across the street.
The hotel is so clean, and spacious. Breakfast was just right. The staff are super nice, too."

"Super convenient for visiting Colmar. Paid parking in attached lot. Free on Sunday.
Our room was very small but clean and bed was comfortable. We didn't take the breakfast but it looked amazing."

Absolutely wonderful hotel. The best hotel I've been to in France! They literally thought of every little detail, from chocolates and small towelling robes for the kids and special toiletries for them; to solar eclipse glasses on solar eclipse day. Amazing!
Lots of bottles of water provided, everything superb quality and very pleasant and helpful staff. Immaculately clean and a high level of luxury. And real functioning air conditioning, which is rare in France! 😀😀😀

In an excellent location in the historic centre of Colmar. The main sights of the town are in easy walking distance, but access by car is also straightforward. The hotel itself is modern but in keeping with the attractive surroundings. Not too large and ideal for business travellers like myself or those on holiday. And perhaps most importantly, good value for a clean and comfortable room.

I loved this hotel, it was clean, cute and everyone was helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone, its an easy walk from the station and into central Colmar. There is a bus stop just 5 mins away if you want to travel out to Base Nautique or any of the other surrounding areas. Beds were comfy, room was clean. The only thing to bare in mind is that the shower is exposed to the room, so if you are sharing with friends, be aware of this.

Brilliant location, easy public parking directly in front, spacious room, very clean with great service and very reasonable rates (in mid-Feb £85 per night). Ask for a room overlooking the river for lovely views. Be aware this is a provincial French hotel last updated probably in the 1980s so decor is brown wood and beams - we loved it but if you prefer a modern design ethos you might not.

Delightfully friendly and helpful staff. The rooms had apparently been renovated and were spacious and comfortable. Great location with ample parking nearby. Only slight drawbacks were non-availability of English Breakfast Tea (important for us Brits) and lack of instructions to work the air conditioning. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Had the most wonderful stay at 1834&Spa
Perfectly located to the centre.
Loved the fact the hotel had a spa which had the most amazing facilities in which was perfect for a relaxation after the long walking days.
Will be back very very soon.
As Colmar and the accommodation have it all in the bucket fulls.
Thanks you

Exceptionally clean apartment with everything you need for a self catering stay. Laundry room and pool a bonus. Quiet residential area and short walk to main tourist areas. Only downside no grocery stores nearby. Can feel like an ordeal when carrying bottles of water etc back to apartment. Would stay again.

I partIcularly liked its location, just opposite the station. I had to catch an early train to Paris on a Sunday and was surprised that the hotel served breakfast from 06:30......excellent for early birds! Whilst I did not dine at the hotel there was a good choice of restaurants in the locality. The touristy part of town is an easy 15 minute walk away and can also be reached by a bus from the station.

We chose the Roi Soleil Prestige as a base for touring the Alsace wine region. The hotel was easy to find, had ample car parking, spacious, welcoming (with English speaking staff) the rooms were large and comfortable, breakfast each morning was good. As the title says - it was difficult to fault. We are already thinking about a return stay to visit the regions xmas markets. I have no hesitation in recommending the Rio Soleil Prestige.

The hotel locates exactly at the core of Eguisheim, which is the cutest village that you should never miss. I was sick on that day, the reception took the initiative to ask the cleaning to do our room first, and let us check in earlier. The room is super cosy, clean, nicely decorated and spacious. You have everything you need, including the information booklet, all the table set and equipment for cooking, and a laundry room with washing pods and dryer.
