"If you understand you are paying a low price for an okay room, it is fine. A couple things did not work right when we arrived, but they did take care of them immediately and the rest of the week was fine. The employees were very friendly and nice to talk with. The A/C filters had not been cleaned in quite a while, but they did clean them as soon as I brought it to their attention. Breakfast was provided in the lobby. "We love historical hotels so chose to stay at The Read House. Our stay was wonderful. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time to old world grandeur. Absolutely magical. the dining was exceptional (we chose to eat there every night!), and the bartender, Alan, was really engaging and mixed great drinks! His Peanut Butter Alan was amazing!! Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We look forward to returning to The Read House very soon. "
