"Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. While the staff was very nice, that couldn't make up for the fact that the room, bathroom, and towels were dirty. The bathroom smelled like sewage. I also booked this hotel in large part because they said they had air conditioning, but when we got back to the hotel after a very hot and sunny day, we were told the hotel was still in heat mode and the AC didn't work. They told us to open our window to cool the room. All that did was let in the street noise. They did provide a small fan, but it didn't do much. There are many hotels to pick from in York, just pick a different one."

Extra charge for car parking which is not noted on the website! Ridiculous price at £20 per night. Definitely wouldn't stay again. Only positive is the location. "

Car parking was ideal and access to room was up a stair rather than have to go through bar. Had a drink in bar on the 2 nights we were staying. Excellent quality of Sauvignon was on offer. Would definitely stay again. "
