This hotel had everything and more. We made use of the terrace with a lovely, extensive breakfast served to us by room service. The whole hotel is like a museum. It really is a beautiful space. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Very pleased with our hotel, it had both character and a touch of luxury! Beautiful dining room also where we had breakfast, but service could certainly be improved there. Still it would not put us off staying here again when we return to Florence.

Reception staff efficient and polite. Booked standard room but stayed in larger room /suite which would be ok for family. Bed a little hard would be only criticism. Ideal location. Rooftop bar a sun trap.

One of the best concierge and customer service teams I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. From booking dinners to recommending activities even at short notice. Hotel, quality, room and breakfast were also excellent with no complaints.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva. The location is minutes from the train station on a lovely pedestrianised piazza, and walking distance to the main attractions. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - we hadn’t booked tickets to the sights but they managed to get us tickets for the Accademia to see the statue of David. Located through a huge arched doorway into a small courtyard, the lift up to the reception on the second floor is on your right. We arrived slightly early but were able to check in straight away - we even got an upgrade to a superior room. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel extremely comfortable. Very conveniently located & I doubt wether you could stay in a more beautiful hotel in Florence for the price. The room we stayed in was big, the buffet breakfast was impressive and the staff were nothing short of exceptional when it came to customer service. Recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked the Ponte Vecchio Suites and Spa based on previous user ratings - and I was not disappointed. On arrival the staff were friendly and very helpful - check-in process was great. We paid high rates for a Junior Suite in a top hotel and the unexpected upgrade provided 'excellence and perfection'. It was a concern however that the pillows on the settee had 'pictures of dogs'. Was this the suite for specified small handbag sized canines as mentioned in the brochure? As a person allergic to dog hair I kept out of the area! A beautiful city needs a beautiful hotel to stay in and the hotel Torre Guelfa is just the hotel that fits the bill. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful.

We have travelled all over the world and have to say our 4 day trip to Florence was fantastic and made even better by the hotel, the room and the staff could not have been better. Nothing we asked of them was a problem no matter how small and the hotel location is perfect. Dave and Heather

Lovely big room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A short distance from all the main attractions and designer stores if you are interested in shopping. Lift starts from first floor but if you need assistance you just ring the bell on arrival and a member of staff will come and assist you. A small hotel but I personally prefer that. If you are using the train on arrival and for excursions the train station is a short walk away and you get the pleasure of walking past Santa Croce Church....
