"Staff are nice and welcoming However , i did call to the hotline on Public website to confirm any EV charger in village hotel Edinburgh and was told there are 12. When we arrive to the hotel , the receptionist told us the EV charger can only be used on this summer. Making us so frustrating and need to arrange EV charge to the nearest Morrisons. It is not too troublesome but it is not professional to give out incorrect information to the customer. For the House Keeping we have no idea how benefit it could be we need to put the sign before 11pm a night before to secure the housekeeping. Also the towel is not replaced but only being taken away from the room. And obviously the pillow cases and blanket has not been changed , we actually had a pillow fell on the floor and we wish a clean one to be replaced and finally we did not know which one is the dirty one. A green mug was found full of black dots and dust in the room but still the housekeeping did not aware and change it. No full size mirror in the room. No sufficient clothes rack for the clothes / jacket s , obviously there is an empty wall behind the door area that can have something fitted on. Insufficient charging point in the room or in between the beds The lamp mounted is not working properly. "

"The lad at check in was lovely, the property was clean. I stayed with my spouse, the bed was split and wildly uncomfortable. The toilet was so hard to flush I nearly broke my arm. I was woken at 9 am to the sound of a drill hammering through my wall which lasted about an hour. No air conditioning and the room was very hot. The window opened onto the busy street. I wouldn’t personally stay here given the rough stay and steeper price point "

"Rooms were clean, the hotel is certainly busy place and sought after due to location. However, the toilets and shower has a problem woth water pressure. Toilets also take long tome to flush. Tlwe were on 4th floor, the staff offered us 2 other rooms on 3rd and 2nd floor, however, the same problem was there. When i raised this issue to the staff, i was told that they can not sort this issue. I was surprised to know this since the property is 4 star and daily charge is substantial. The staff did provide us complementary breakfast for us for 2 days to compensate our disappointment. If i were to plan a stay in Edinburgh, i would look for other options. Parking is available but charged at £10 per day. Beds are comfortable. One of the lift was not working for entire length of our stay for 3 days which caused a bit of inconvenience. However, i found out on day 2 that there are 2 more lifts as well. All in all, a bitter sweet experience. "

"Breakfast with the room included fix to order and continental breakfast bar. If one didnt selsect the breakfast with room options, breakfast could be purchased. The meal cost is a good value. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. A mini fridge was a plus."

"We enjoyed our stay at The Hoxton very much. The hotel is right by Haymarket station, which made it easy to get to places. We had drinks at the bar one night and thought the cocktail menu had a good selection, and the drinks were delicious! The staff is also very nice and overall we had a great stay."

"Absolutely perfect for groups or families. Clean, great amenities, staff was super friendly and helpful with directions and things to see. The beds were soft and so cozy. It is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of attractions, but I saw this as a positive and didn’t mind walking where we needed to go."
