Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at the Zane Grey for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Waking up to the beautiful view of Avalon was a dream and the history of the Zane Grey added to the beauty. The continental breakfast included was a perfect way to start the day before heading down the hill. The golf cart shuttle service was very convenient, but did take longer than expected a few times. But knew that was potentially going to be a thing when reading the other reviews. Walking up and down the hill was honestly not terrible at all and took about 10 minutes one way. But did require walking up and down the stairways of Catalina that did get a little exhausting on the way up. But going that way made it feel even more like you were in an old city in Europe vs off the coast of LB."

"The cleanliness of the facility was exceptional. The hotel is dated, but beautiful. For some reason at night, it was very loud with stomping and banging. Towels were clean but old. We are used to irons in the rooms & we did not have one. The layout of the Courtyard and central fire pit made the stay feel cozy. I’d highly suggest to those who an appreciate an ambiance with beautiful art, architecture, and character. Location of this hotel is also walking distance to the main strip, tour guide trips, and even a supermarket."
