"Room was clean. Breakfast was replenished constantly. Fair choice for continental breakfast. "

"The shower was moldy in both rooms I was put in. The first room had one screw holding the safety latch thing on the door so they put me in another room since they had no one to put in a screw!!!! The pool to which they share with Best Western next door was ABSOLUTLY NASTY. Broken umbrellas, broken chairs and FILTHY tables where you wouldn't want to put your drink down on them. The pool looked cloudy and I wouldn't even put my big toe in it let alone my body!!! SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will say the bed was comfy and smelled okay and the location was the best part. If they could hire people that cared about the place I think it could be a homerun. Oh and the included continental breakfast was pretty good. First morning was scrambled eggs and sausage and second morning was western style omelets and sausage, not bad at all!! Lady who worked the night desk was argumentative and rude, was upset that I was concerned about being a woman alone in a room with no safety on the door!!! "

"Staff was friendly. Did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food. The hotel provides good relative value for the Charleston market."

"Very nice property, only one year old. Friendly staff, 3 free drinks at happy hour with free appetizers. My only complaint was operating the thermostat and some cold food, especially the chili. "

"The breakfast was good, the property is a bit dated (room door sticks, broken tiles in the elevator, shower drain stop rusted out). The coffee is to weak!"

"The included breakfast was delightfully good in comparison to other hotels that offer the same amenity. The hotel was also nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. This hotel is in a convenient area outside of downtown Charleston if you are looking to explore some of the southern areas around Charleston. "

"Disappointed with this BW. Stayed at many over the years and this one was not up to par. Linens and drapes very old and need replacing. I usually stay at BW for their breakfast, and I would give this one a 2 rating, all others 5. They charge an additional $25 if you stay from 11-12, no grace period. We left before 11, but that apparently is their policy. I never give bad reviews, but this one I’m sorry to do one, as I believe the management needs to know."
