"Legitimate 5 star hotel. Staff were very good. Meals so so but timely. The Marina district is good if you are a walker or runner. Easy, clean and feels safe. "
"Very nice resort. Has good food options nearby, but also not a bad drive to downtown. Overall, this is a good place if you just want to relax and not so much “go out”. "
"Amazing views!! This has ocean views of the amazing cruises and amazing views from the rooftop pool. We will definitely return. Thank you for the bottle of wine. "

"My family of three stayed at Melia Puerto Vallarta in September 2025 for five nights, and we had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, all the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our entire stay.
For my birthday, we made a reservation at Tauro, their steak restaurant on-site. The food was delicious, but what truly stood out was the amazing service. Our toddler wanted to play outside the restaurant, and the waitress noticed we were struggling to enjoy our meal. She kindly offered to play with him just outside, where we could still see him through the window. Thanks to her kindness, I was able to fully enjoy my birthday dinner—something I’ll never forget.
There are so many fun activities for kids, including a playground that my son loved. It’s definitely a great resort for families, with plenty of amenities for children. On top of that, the staff went above and beyond on my birthday by decorating our room with balloons and surprising us with dessert. I felt so special and appreciated.
I highly recommend Melia Puerto Vallarta, especially for families looking for both relaxation and kid-friendly fun."
"Flamingo Vallarta Marina is a good affordable place to stay. The staff is super friendly and the area is great for walking around the marina with lots of dining and shopping places close by. It's also very close to the airport! The rooms are a bit dated and large and clean. Beautiful lobby and garden leading to the pool and marina. I did not have a chance to try the restaurant but it looked good as well. I will be back for sure!"
