"The pool is not open for remodeling. The staff were rude and hateful to us and our children. We booked several rooms for a cheer comp and we asked them to be put together, I called when we booked, can one week before and the day before and day off to make sure all the rooms where together and we ended up being on all different floors. The breakfast was not really good. There was mold under the sink area in our room. "

"Rooms look like the inside cabin, in the hull of a cruise ship. So tiny, no sitting area, staff had terrible attitude. I checked out a day early and the desk clerk told me I could not checkout until the next day and I left, I had a plane to catch. What property tell you, you can’t leave? I will never stay here again. AND people were smoking in their rooms on the second floor and nothing happened even though it’s a smoke free property."

"Floors were torn up. 3 entrances were closed off. We kept having to change how we got in. Staff was rude. Breakfast was till 9:30 but they stopped making eggs and sausage at 8:15. NYS police there one night to stop a fight. Really awful experience."

"The room wasn’t cleaned properly there was urine on the toilet base there was still mounds on cleaning product I assume in the toilet bowl. There were hairs every where kids stickers stuck to the mirror it was a horrible stay"

"The Holiday Inn Express Rochester, on February 28 – March 3, lobby was under construction, it appears to be a limited face lift. Any 4 stars ratings are attributed to the “face lift”. The room itself and the staff were 5 stars. The room was clean. A lamp lite was out but was repaired early the next day – there were no excuses just a quick repair - nice. The bathroom was small but functional. I liked it – why waste space in a bathroom while taking away space from the living area? Getting used to the room's heater was interesting. It had a loud start then continue rapidly to heat up the room. The water in the bathroom was quick to heat up. The breakfast food was good. My schedule was busy. I did not have to time to see the Gym. The parking area was good. The snow plowed no issures there. Everything, shopping, restaurants were close by including the Highway. "
