"This is the best hotel in Katmamdu. The staff are amazing and the hotel is so beautiful. I was travelling with my sister and it was her birthday the day we checked in. The front staff knocked on our door with balloons and a birthday cake for her. So wonderful. The breakfast is made fresh to order (not a buffet) with wonderful choice. We would stay there again."

When i arrived back from India last week, I wasn't feeling well and the staff offered to drive me to the closest pharmacy. "The hotel was generally really lovely, our family really enjoyed the food at both breakfast and dinner, good selection of hot savoury options, althought the breakfast pastries and cakes were awful, dry and hard, as if been left out all week and not a great selection of fresh fruit or dessert options. The views from our room and the communal areas are stunning when it's not too cloudy. However, the property is a little dated and the rooms could do with a little update. Also, we were extremely disappointed that we couldn't use the pool (particularly our 6 year old) as the water was extremely cold, even in the jacuzzi, and for a 6 year old to say it's too cold...means it's too cold!! Cheap spa options, however the therapist could really understand English very well and therefore didn't listen to my request of being careful of an injury, actually causing me pain. Overall I'd recommend, but definitely room for improvement."

"There are so many things I love about this place, my husband and I ended up coming back for an additional booking. The staff is truly amazing. They welcome you with a kind heart and our exceptional with customer service and hospitality. The location is very close to the airport, but also in a safe spot that has nice restaurants close by. The hotel is nice and clean, modern, has comfortable beds with nice bedding and nice rooms. There are blackout curtains, so it is not only quiet but dark in the evening, which is what I need to have a good night sleep. I do recommend the third floor or higher as I noticed. It’s a little bit more quiet in the evening than the second floor. If you need a place for one or two nights in Kathmandu, I highly recommend this establishment. We also enjoy their breakfast. We were so impressed with the staff. We got them flowers as a small token of our appreciation for the exceptional service we received while staying there two separate visits."

"Stunning property, impeccable service. Spent 3 days here in a Himalayan View Junior Suite which was well appointed, very spacious and clean. Enjoyed the balcony every morning listening to the chanting from the monestary and viewing the local birds. Customer service is where they truly shine, everyone was very welcoming. Enjoyed several spa treatments at the Devarana Spa with Bhawani who performed magnificent therapy. Enjoyed a session of Himalaya Sound Bowl Therapy with their resident yoga instructor and sound bowl master, he was warm, welcoming & informative. Food was consistently good, again their service was excellent . There were several dishes to choose from at each meal (during midweek the choice is smaller, but it seems the menu expands a bit as they move into the busier weekend). There was a small buffet each morning or you can order directly from the menu too. We had a buffet available on our last night. Please note that this location is about a two hour drive from central Kathmandu. You can arranged transportation with Dusit directly and I’d recommend that you do so. Sadly, while we did have good weather during our March visit, the clouds did not lift enough to see beyond the valley and view the Himalayas. A disappointment for sure, but also an excuse to return during another time of year (we are told mid winter is best for the view) when we might have a better opportunity to enjoy the view! "

"nice hotel with relaxing vibe. its a nice place to stay to hope to see distant himalayan views (it was cloudy both days i was there though, but i still enjoyed the stay). the hotel & restaurant staff (including rebecca, pramilla, deepa and others) are wonderful with always being helpful and pleasant. restaurant food was good with many cuisine options. try to get a room on a high floor, so you are above the adjacent building for a better view. "
