This was the perfect resort to stay in post our Everest Base Camp trek. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, the spa services were high quality and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. All in all we loved our stay at the Terraces and would recommend this as a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu / Thamel. Note that the road to the resort is steep and windy and I would recommend booking the transfer through the hotel as they have a Jeep and a very good driver.

Lovely view, lovely staff

Overall nice stay. The view on a clear day is beautiful, the breakfast buffet is good, the pool area is lovely, massages were great. Staff is kind - shout out to Nelson who helped me recover my passport lost in a plane. On the downside the steam room and sauna were not working well, we did not get house cleaning on our second day and we did not like that the shower water dripped onto the whole bathroom floor. Just feedback for the team which I’m sure can be remedied.

The resort is close enough to explore Kathmandu, yet remote enough to provide solitude and relaxation. Staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond anything I would expect from a resort. Location provides incredible views of the valley and Kathmandu, not to mention the Himalaya. I miss my morning views of the peaks. Incredible massages from highly skilled staff available from the Spa, very relaxing and affordable. Every room has an incredible view from its sizable lanai. The road to get to the resort is challenging the last few kilometers, could use a chiropractor on site until it is completed :) This was just what I needed for the week. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely resort - definitely one of the best in/outside of Kathmandu. The staff were also great and the spa treatment was standout. The room was very comfortable with amazing bedding - we appreciated that a lot! Another highlight was sundowners on the helipad with a 360 view. I wouldn't rate the place 5 stars only because a few areas need improvement - when you looked closely at things, you could see some cheap construction... Also the sauna/steam rooms were really gross, we skipped after a walk through... They really need to be completely re-done.
