Beautiful location and 5 star experience
Overlooking the stunning Stone Bay sandy beach, Bay Tree is perfect for a quiet and cosy stay within easy walking distance of central Broadstairs. The decor is upscale and with many interesting artworks and beautiful furnishings. There is a terrace that overlooks the quiet Esplanade and the lounge and dining room also have sea views. The staff were welcoming and it was so kind of them to upgrade me. The rainfall shower was appreciated after a long day. The bathroom was warm and spotlessly clean; as indeed was the entire room and hotel. The cooked breakfast was good and is included if you book direct (extra charge if you book via an agent.) The winding slope down the chalk cliff to Stone Bay is nearby and leads to an undercliff walk that ends at the quay. Beautiful views. I enjoyed my stay so much, particularly because it was quiet, comfortable, the service was excellent and the hotel is in such a fabulous location. The owners clearly have thoroughly enjoyed decorating the rooms and providing a premium and caring experience for their guests. They even have their own Bay Tree toiletries. Highly recommend staying here as a base for exploring the coast and inland locations.
