I was surprised at how pretty Broadstairs was. This clean and tidy little town has Viking Bay in it's city centre, a beautiful beach filled with activities. Out of season Broadstairs is a lovely, tranquil place to visit. Coastal walks, cosy pubs and restaurants, unusual independent shops, there are few chain stores lining the dramatic high street, which leads straight down to breath-taking Viking Bay.
