"The hotel is magical - the staff super friendly. The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "

"The child bunk beds did not have a good enough side bars for the top bunk. Our 5 yr old granddaughter could off easily fallen out during the night. Otherwise the hotel was just lovely. Quiet and in beautiful surroundings."

"The Prince Consort is a nice local pub which also has rooms for bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, which included very good quality bacon and sausages and all the usual ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious. I was visiting for a family funeral which was catered for there too. The buffet for the wake was also very good."

"We came with our 3 year old and 6 year old just for an overnight stay as we had visited Longleat. The hosts were really lovely and we had a little continental breakfast for the next morning with fresh milk and juice in the fridge. The room was spacious with a king sized bed and 2 x singles. Bathroom was spacious with great shower. Outside is a little courtyard plenty of space for the kids to run around. Nice and clean and spacious. Rooms finished to a high standard. "The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"Fabulous hosts and wonderful breakfast. Spotlessly clean throughout - slightly noisy traffic at rush hour, but so quiet at night. "

"The rooms are cleaned and maintained to a very high standard and balance the picturesque features of the cottages with modern amenities - a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and milk-alternatives provided, a small TV (as if you want to stay inside when the New Forest is minutes away on foot!) WiFi and pristine en suite. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of big, soft pillows to suit anyone's sleeping habits, and nice soft towels and quality soaps were provided. I met with friends...
