Our stay exceeded our expectations: the staff were just wonderful. Warm, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious. And the rooms were beautifully appointed and super comfortable. It was loved by children and adults alike. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than some places, but it was well worth it. We will be back.

We found The Duke to be 5star. Everything was perfect, especially the delightful young staff. Always smiling and very helpful. Decor was very sophisticated and stylish. Another excellent stay at The Duke on the Test in Romsey. The staff, the service, the rooms, the cleanliness all excellent. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. It won't be long before we are booking in again! Highly recommended.

A lovely place to visit - be it for lunch or dinner or an overnighter. Very friendly and effivient staff who were attentive without being overly so. A fine menu with an array of dishes experly cooked. My room was sldi clean comfortable and well organised.

Despite being adjacent to a main road, the pub and accommodation were delightfully tranquil. The beverage options at the bar were more than adequate and the dinner was terrific, both the food and the service. Having access to a walking path alongside the River Test and an associated wildlife area was the cherry on top of the cream on top of a most exquisite cake!

This is a beautiful 16th century pub and rooms. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Our stay was excellent and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
