Amazing experience, stunning... Why go anywhere else, as a frequent traveller sometimes you fall upon these hidden gems and can't believe your luck.., this was an example.. Amazing accommodation and food was lovely
Pub and accommodation was lovely. Really classy yet quirky. Great staff, spacious rooms and stunning dinner. But (randomly) I would go back purely to have their bacon breakfast roll again - hands down the best ever! And mine was gluten free. Simple things but epic!
Very comfortable stay in a well presented property, lovely decoration, great bed and very nice restaurant which accommodated us for a late dinner!
Highly recommend this property.
Had a lovely stay, really quiet room, comfy bed, delicious dinner and breakfast (we’re both vegan and were happy with choices available) and allocated parking. Beautiful river walk accessible from pub grounds. 100% recommend.
Our stay exceeded our expectations: the staff were just wonderful. Warm, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious. And the rooms were beautifully appointed and super comfortable. It was loved by children and adults alike. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than some places, but it was well worth it. We will be back.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy. The bar and food was exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay
We were very impressed with The Duke on the Test. The food was excellent and the accommodation was also excellent. Can’t fault it will definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends
We found The Duke to be 5star.
Everything was perfect, especially the delightful young staff. Always smiling and very helpful.
Decor was very sophisticated and stylish.
All the meals were delicious and served on lovely hot plates!!!!!!!!!
We will definitely return for another break.
Thank you Duke team.
Another excellent stay at The Duke on the Test in Romsey. The staff, the service, the rooms, the cleanliness all excellent. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. It won't be long before we are booking in again! Highly recommended.
A lovely place to visit - be it for lunch or dinner or an overnighter. Very friendly and effivient staff who were attentive without being overly so. A fine menu with an array of dishes experly cooked. My room was sldi clean comfortable and well organised.
It was a lovely stay, but I thought that it lacked the extra little touches and attention to detail that a five-star hotel would have over a three or four star hotel. The room was clean, and staff friendly.
Despite being adjacent to a main road, the pub and accommodation were delightfully tranquil. The beverage options at the bar were more than adequate and the dinner was terrific, both the food and the service. Having access to a walking path alongside the River Test and an associated wildlife area was the cherry on top of the cream on top of a most exquisite cake!
This is a beautiful 16th century pub and rooms. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Our stay was excellent and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed this hotel/ pub the room was very smart clean and well maintained. The restaurant was excellent did not have venture to Romsey
And breakfast completed a great booking
