This spacious very clean cabin is in a great location, easy and close to get to the lake, hiking, shopping and restaurants. Plenty room for my family of four. Especially liked that there are two full restrooms, โBig Boyโ towels were available. Pots and pans galore! Beds were comfortable! Gaming room kept us busy. Maybe will need 2 fans for the upstairs room, if renting this place during the summer. One fan barely made it cool with windows opened. It...

Top Big Bear Lake Hotel Reviews
Arkouda House
"I guess this is an old hotel thatโs been renovated, and some of the work was still going on while we were there. Overall it was fine, but some stuff in the room is brand new and some is old. The walls are totally bare. Funny thing, thereโs no TV! And barely any outlets, maybe two outlets for two floors. Bring your own power strip. The fireplace worked, and they left firewood for it. We didnโt see any staff at all, they just texted us the door code. Overall the place has potential. Itโs quiet and close to the village but it feels like work in progress."
Chateau Big Bear Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection
"Overall, the hotel is very nice! The location is excellent, the breakfasts are delicious with a great variety of options, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the kidsโ playroom is fantastic. We really enjoyed all these aspects of our stay. However, the service at the front desk was very disappointing. We checked in at 7-7:30pm, and the receptionist who assisted us โ a blonde woman around 60-65 years old with two braids โ was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. What made the experience disappointing was that my husband had recently undergone knee surgery, so we specifically requested any room that would not require using stairs. Unfortunately, our request was immediately denied without the receptionist even taking the time to listen to our situation or consider any possible alternatives. We werenโt asking for anything special, just a room that would be easier for my husband to access while recovering from surgery. Throughout our interaction, she seemed annoyed by our questions/ requests and showed very little willingness to help. Her attitude made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially given my husbandโs condition. Itโs unfortunate that such a lovely hotel has this kind of customer service at the front desk. A little kindness, understanding, and willingness to help would have made a huge difference. I sincerely hope management pays attention to this issue, as guests deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, especially when dealing with medical or m"
Big Bear Lakefront Lodge
"We chose this property because it was good value, in a convenient location. We loved being close to the lake, and the kitchen was a big plus. We enjoyed having a special dinner out one evening, but being able to prepare most of our meals in the room was great. Superficially, the property looks great, but there were numerous little maintenance issues that, on their own, would not have been a big deal. But, taken together, it seemed like just one thing after another. Firstly, the beds were creaky, so it was impossible to get up in the middle of the night without waking your roommate. It was also not the most comfortable of mattresses. Our TV was missing a remote, so on-and-off, as well as the volume, could only be adjusted on the TV itself. Unfortunately, only the volume-up button on the TV worked, so when the TV was too loud, we discovered that the volume-down button didn't work and we just had to live with it. We did inform the office, but we never received a replacement remote (just the Roku remote to choose channels). The large cooking element on the stove did not work. This was only a minor issue, as we had the 3 smaller elements to cook on. Lastly, the "free breakfast" advertised with the room is nothing to get excited about. Cereal, coffee and some packaged pastries. Luckily, since I knew we had a kitchen, I'd brought our own eggs and other food from home. Having a full-size refrigerator is a big plus."
