This may be an historic hotel, but it could definitely teach more modern hotels a thing or two about comfort and atmosphere!
If you travel to the hotel from San Francisco Airport, beware of taking a taxi - our driver failed to tell us about the out of town surcharge, so it cost us a whopping $150 between three of us! During daylight hours take the Bart instead, which goes directly from the airport to Downtown Berkeley - then it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel.

We were a bit worried when we arrived that the area outside the hotel was crazy busy and full of loud cars, bikes and music… but we had read a top tip to request a courtyard room and so actually our room was super quiet and relaxing and a nice break from the chaos of fisherman’s wharf.
Restaurant breakfast was delicious but there’s also a latam coffee shop on the corner of the block directly behind the hotel who do amazing pastries.

My stay in San Francisco was part of a larger trip which also included New York and LA.
Honestly the hotel was perfect for what I was looking for, very easy going. No uncomfortable pestering (although I’d recommend using the do not disturb sign to avoid being woken by housekeeping).
The location was excellent and walking everywhere was super simple.
One lovely lady at reception was amazing with directions and recommendations, one of which was cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge (a must...

Loved our stay at Hotel Kabuki! Friendly staff made us feel right at home. Stylish boutique atmosphere. Excellent gym. Location is fantastic — great food, shops, and culture just steps away.

Good location for what we wanted to do. Many warned us off SF due to homeless situation but we felt safe in daylight hours. Lovely restaurant recommends from hotel team & walkable gor our Love Tour.

Great location and the rooms with a view are really worth it. Staff were very lovely and accommodating. They found out it was our honeymoon and sent a bottle of champagne and treats up to the room.
A bit of a hidden gem. Not a huge hotel which is a nice touch.

The hotel itself was unique so quaint and old worldly and took us back to the world of old San Francisco. The hotel staff were so polite and helpful it was just lovely thank you

A fantastic return for a San Francisco icon
We recently stayed for three nights at the newly reopened Huntington Hotel on Nob Hill, and we’re delighted to say it has been well worth the wait.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, combining comfort with understated luxury, and the gym is one of the best hotel fitness facilities we’ve used. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome, with exceptional service throughout our stay. A special thank you to the Head Concierge and the...
