Our stay at Hotel Ungheria was great! Good room with airco, facilities, great breakfast and excellent helpfull service throughout. A spotless and very well run family hotel. Varese itself is lovely, as well as centrally located, especially if you like to travel by public transport. Milan, Como, Lugano and more are nearby, including Lake Varese (cycle lane around it), Villa Panza and Sacro Monte. Fully recommended.

The hotel was conveniently located so you could walk into como city, to the ferry stop or to the train station. The food was very nice, we had the hotel breakfast each day and also ate in 2 of the restaurants and at the poolside bar. The rooms were comfortable and well cleaned with an evening turn service as well. The pool area was lovely, great pool with an amazing view of the lake plus very cold so great for cooling down after a hot day. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a very happy time on Como. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and our room lovely, with balcony, but noisy road, of course. The Tavernola ferry stop is handy - we walked, cycled and sailed into Como town! The Lake is enchanting - with gorgeous views and noisy seaplanes. Our great disappointment was splashing out on dinner on our last night. The dining room is grand and all the service rather pretentious, but the food was by no measurement value for money. Beautiful room with beautiful views, perfectly located close to the lake, shops, restaurants. Cannot fault the staff and their breakfast service was lovely. The bathroom was gorgeous!

Excellent accomodation-bedroom and bathroom well equipped. Reasonable breakfast but not many hot options. Bar only open until 11pm with no bar service after that if returning late and wanting a night cap!

Check-in was quite fast, the receptionists are friendly. We love the interior of the room & the bed is super comfy.

We were so lucky to find this hotel at short notice. Perfectly positioned next to the lake in Como. The hotel has only just opened after extensive refurbishment and it is beautiful. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the service was first class. The roof top bar is beautiful with views across the lake and the old town. Except from being distant to city center everything was perfect. Better to have car or plan ahead transportation

Excellent hotel in perfect location. Staff very helpful, very clean and modern look. Very accommodating and can park car in front of hotel to offload/onload. Would definitely come back!

Our room was wheelchair friendly but we couldn’t access the terrace where breakfast was served and looked at the lake. The staff were very helpful getting breakfast sorted in our room though, but we didn’t have a view there. The hotel was in an amazing situation but the reception felt a little unfriendly but once settled we felt much more welcome. The staff were all friendly and helpful with great restaurant recommendation and taxi booking too.

Centre of Como, great hotel with a lovely restaurant and lots of other options in a short walking distance. Our room was a good size and had a balcony with great views up the lake.

Possibly the very best hotel I've stayed at. The entire experience from check in to check out was exceptional. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Planning the next trip as we speak!

Small family run hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Buffet breakfast, with some cooked food available, never run out of anything, extra coffee offered. Dinner menu and wine list good. Gets very busy due to location opposite water taxis. There is also a bar with snacks attached for day time. Hotel has three floors and there is a lounge room on the 1st and 2nd floors with books and some games.

Excellent hotel in prime position on lake and close to all amenities and cathedral. Wonderfull art neovau fully renovated hotel in immaculate condition and spotlessly clean. Hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpfull at all times. Lovely breakfast in a quaint breakfast room.restaurant provided a first class mea very well presented in a lovely restaurant which has utilised limited space well.
