Top Ballachulish Hotel Reviews
Alexandra Hotel
"It was a clean room. The location was perfect for catching any train out of Fort William."
The Caledonian Hotel
"Breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful. Large hotel but enough parking available. Lovely setting with amazing views of the Loch. Very close to Fort William."
The Royal Hotel
"Pretty good location right at one end of town with tons of shops and restaurants, easy walk to the waterfront. The hotel is a little run down but has character that I found sort of charming. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with everything you needed. For a budget stay this was a good choice overall. We were disappointed with parking, although it is clearly described in the post that parking is limited, so we knew it could be an issue going in. Their lot is small and chaotic around the corner from the hotel -spaces arenโt really marked and it was full when we got there. The staff did direct us to a paid lot down the street, but we ended up finding a spot on the street and were able to top up the meter frequently enough to make that work. If you want guaranteed parking stay elsewhere (again, all described in their listing)."
Linnhe Lochside Holidays
"We had a wonderful stay at Loch Linnhe. Myself, my partner and our two children and our lovely dog. The reason for the trip was for our son (14) and his two friends to climb Ben Nevis. We met up with these two other families we know, and all enjoyed time together. We were so fortunate with the weather, it was glorious and made for a spectacular view from the top of Ben Nevis. The loch is absolutely stunning- crystal clear water and the sun setting over the water was beautiful. The dog loved having a paddle with the children! The caravan was very comfortable. We had a blocked sink in the bathroom on arrival, but the site maintenance man came within about 5-10minutes and rectified this. There were some very small clumps of black dog hair on the carpet in the living room, but to be honest, we were not that fussed as the caravan was clean other than this and we had our own dog there anyway. Our hired bedding and towels were unfortunately not there on arrival, but these were delivered to us within minutes of contacting via the out of hours line. Please donโt take this as a negative review - it was a wonderful stay, the caravan was lovely, had lovely views and the site itself was great. A real sense of peacefulness as soon as we got there. The staff were an absolute delight, so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at Loch Linnhe."
Base Camp Hotel Nevis Range
"The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the sink in the room felt like it was made for a child, very impractical, and water kept splashing all over the bathroom. The restaurant only had one or two plant-based options, and the burgers werenโt tasty. Breakfast was so-so, and ยฃ3 for two slices of toast felt a bit much, in my opinion."
The Garrison
"Wonderful hotel in Fort William! ๐๏ธโจ The hotel is chic, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with beautiful dรฉcor throughout. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the beds were super comfortableโperfect after a day exploring the Highlands! ๐๏ธ The location is also excellent and very convenient for enjoying Fort William and the surrounding area. A stylish, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended! โญโญโญโญโญ"
Onich Hotel
"Beautiful location with easy access by car or public transport to Fort William, Glencoe etc. Loch is good to swim in (if a bit chilly) in front of the hotel. The beach is pebbly to some kind of footwear is helpful. Rooms clean and a good size. Breakfast excellent, and includes haggis (although only filter coffee)."
The Lodge on the Loch by OYO
"Bien situรฉ !"
The Glencoe Inn
"The Restaurant served delicious food but the rooms are very small."
