I'd heard about it, wanted to do it, but had to return a few years later to actually do it. It's called Santiero Deglei Dei or, Path of the Gods. As you walk along the narrow path gazing down on centuries of civilization you wonder how many of those who take the Amalfi - Positano road will even be aware of just how brilliant it is a thousand feet above. The whole walk was simply stunning; best I've ever done. It took about 4 hours from memory and I treasured every step. This is about half way.

It’s surprisingly time consuming to get from Agerola down to the coast road or beaches, but a great location for hiking in the mountains. There are plenty of hotels further down the mountain side with great views which are s lot more accessible.

Agerola is a good base for exploring the Amalfi Coast as you are part-way between some of the lovely places to visit: Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii.

Nice enough, but uninteresting in comparison with the whole area. Good for hill walking, not meant for history/culture! On the other hand, it is not destroyed by tourist hordes and car blight. The road down to Amalfi is great with spectacular views.
