The simple white interiors reflect the ancient history of this old monastery, now a top quality hotel perched on the side of the cliffs, overlooking Amalfi and the sea. Spectacular views and wonderful service! Regrets that the 'infinity pool' is only open from May to September, note that this is not mentioned on their website.

The Hotel Margherita was recommended to us by a friend who visited last year and I am delighted to say that we found that his glowing report was not an exaggeration. On arrival the friendly staff came out, took the luggage up to the room and parked the car in the garage. We had booked a room with a sea view and on reaching our room we were greeted with a delightful panoramic view of the coast and the surrounding headland. Our air conditioned room was tastefully decorated, and with the full...

The choice is yours in this beautiful location in Italy. You may visit the area by train, bus or sea from Sorrento. There are Roman ruins, beautiful coastal villages,Capri for the day.Or just strolling the lanes admiring the views and stopping for coffee. Will return to continue exploring this beautiful part of the coast as soon as possible.

The hotel was wonderful, the grounds and inside beautiful all facilities were superb. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice and all waiters really took care and looked after us. Rooms were lovely and room service excellent. All the staff made us feel welcome and were amazing at giving us advice and help especially as we had several problems with lost luggage and a car problem did everything they possibly could to help us. Nothing Wes too much bother. We loved our stay and will go back and...

Such a lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The views of Sorrento are stunning. The Hotel Restaurant food was superb the best food we have ever had in a hotel Restaurant. We used the hotel shuttle bus which was so reliable and quick into Sorrento town. You can walk into town which only took about 15 minutes. It's a hotel you could not fault as the pool was so clean and gave you such lovely views. I would highly recommend the hotel. When we left the hotel for our flight they...

I find some hotels in this bracket a bit pretentious, but that wasn't the case here. The manager (I assume) was really friendly when we checked in and made us feel very welcome. The rest of the staff were very friendly too. The large roof terrace has a nice bar and fantastic views towards Vesuvius. There is also a nice ground floor bar with roadside terrace. Delicious canapes were served with our wine. Great location approx 25 metres from main square Our room was large, modern with air...

This Hotel is situated on the Piazza Della Vitoria with great sea views across to mount vesuvius be sure to get ask for a suite as they are corner rooms and look out across the bay of Naples. We dined one evening at the Hotel, and to my surprise we found the cost to be cheaper than outside , the buffet Breakfast was of course very typical of a 4 star Hotel, plentiful. Sorrento was very busy for the end of season,i can't imagine what it must be like in August,do go to AnaCapri The Chair...

A small historic hotel in a quiet location with superb views, comfortable and highly individual rooms, attentive staff, good food and many places to relax in tastefully furnished public rooms and within the grounds.

Excellent location for exploring the whole area. We enjoyed the daily breakfast with the view and the little private balcony overlooking the ocean. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Situated 2 minutes walk away from entrance to Pompeii ruins, just passed that entrance is the bus stop for vezuvious (€3.80 single), both train stations for local routes and national routes less than 10 minutes walk (single way tickets = €3.30 to Napoli centrale, €2.40 to Ercolano (Herculaneum), €5.80 to Paestum) Entrance Tickets to Vezuvious are €12, Pompeii Ruins Full site €22, without 5 Villas €18, Paestum Ruins €15, Herculaneum ruins €16, Napoli Archeological Museum €20, So huge savings if...

Very happy with our four night stay. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony and sea view which was brilliant. The hotel is an easy, 10 minute walk to the centre of Sorrento which has excellent connections for further afield and a good range of restaurants, shops and such like to choose from for a short visit. Breakfasts at the hotel were very good with a wide selection buffet service, especially the cooked to order omelettes! Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered good advice about...

Stayed for 1 week in October 2016 on a bed and breakfast basis. Chose hotel for its proximity both to the facilities of Sorrento and the outlook over the Bay of Naples. A 5 - 10 minute level walk leads you to the many bars, restaurants and shops that the town has to offer. It's also close to the bus and Circumvesuviana train stations from which the city of Naples, tours to Mount Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast and the ruins at Pompei and Herculaneum can be easily (and cheaply) accessed. The hotel...

We stayed here for one night on our way to the airport after a week on the Amalfi Coast. It is an excellent base to explore the historic heart of Napoli, set as it is on the 4th floor of an old building in the gritty Centro Storico. The accommodation is a welcome surprise and the welcome from Chiara was warm and informative. She organised a transfer to the airport for us the next morning which worked well. As our stay was short we didn’t get an opportunity to enjoy breakfast or to use the sauna...

This hotel is amazing - so glad we booked. The location is great - just outside the bustle of Sorrento centre with a free shuttle service to take you in if you prefer not to walk. The hotel is set in its own grounds with gardens, a huge pool, and a private jetty for swimming in the sea. The views are indescribable - nothing between you and the bay of Naples/Vesuvius etc. Fascinating in all weathers - even in thunder storms! The staff are thoughtful and polite at all times, and will do anything...

What an incredible view this was a perfect hotel to look out over the bay. There was a regular bus down to the town and a 20 min walk so we walked down and took the bus back. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Fantastic property with an unbeatable view

A little out from Pompeii but Hotel runs shuttle for small expense to Herculaneum, Train Station and excavation sites. Family run excellent facilities, VERY clean rooms and reasonably priced restaurant with tasty breakfast but mainly continental with added scrambled eggs and bacon. Hotel is NOT walking distance to any pompeii attractions and/or station but shuttle will drop you off at nearest train station.

Lovely hotel, great spot for getting to/from naples airport - about 35euro in a taxi/20mins drive (much quicker than any central naples hotels). It was a perfect "last day" spot for me, after a week on the amalfi and wanting a hassel-free early morning transfer. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, fantastic restaurant (actually the best pasta I'd had all week!) and my room was really spacious and beautifully appointed (with a v. comfy bed!!). It's in the perfect spot for visiting pompeii...
