The view down Lake Como from our room (No.29) was nothing short of breath taking. The staff where very very helpful and in the main spoke English (if your Italian is limited) food was very nice and reasonably priced. If you are a keen cyclist they cater with their own bikes and a workshop area. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We loved our four-night stay at B&B Al Carotin. Julio is super friendly and always at hand. The property has balconies overlooking the valley and mountains, and it was so relaxing just to sit out on the balcony, drink in the views, and let your shoulders drop. We took a day trip to Tirano and took the train up to Switzerland, which is the same line as the Bernina Express. We had a couple of very enjoyable days by the lake. We'd love to come back.
