It was horrible our stay never happened as the hotel turned in to apartments and we were not made aware. Even received a confirmation email about our trip the day before check in was supposed to happen. And the staff that were in charge of the hotel/apts were rude and called me a liar.

Noisy the not clean
There was nobody at the lobby. I had to call to a phone number to get someone. In this situation, I think they should at least leave a phone available on the counter to call the clerk. In the room, the toilet was dirty like if it hadn’t been cleaned after the last customer. There was hair in the bathroom floor and on a pillow. I was on the 21th floor. There was so much noise coming from another apartment in the evening like if someone was playing drum. At least, it stopped when I got to sleep. The TV didn’t work.

Room initially not what I had booked. Carpet instead of wood floor, no coffee maker, tv not working, no dishes in cupboard. Young lady at desk realized she had given me wrong room and moved me to correct one. Everything in new room was excellent.

The room was advertised with a "queen bed" - what we actually got was a "double bed". The paint in the bathroom ceiling was starting to come off after our shower - they didn't use something specific for water / bathrooms. The railing on the balcony was pretty loose for being on the 15th floor. Overall the size of the room / apartment was decent for the price.

This studio apt/ hotel was amazing! Location near the old forum! Kitchenette supplied all that was needed. A/C was super cold . Great balcony facing the mountain. Thanks .

Good value if you’re not too fuzzy. Bathtub took more than 10 minutes to drain and feet under water by time done showering. Room and towels were not cleaned and Coffee pods not supplied for second morning. A/C very noisy so slept with balcony door open the second night which was fine. Still waiting for the pending $150 deposit to be cleared from my credit card transactions even though we checked out more than 36 hours ago.

Not like the pictures
First room we had was not acceptable : water falling from the fan of the bathroom on the toilet continuously, a lot of hair on the floor and sheets, bugs on the bed, etc. We went back to the reception and ask for another room, the receptionist seemed concerned and gave us an upgraded room. That room was ok, more like the pictures, but the air conditioner was not working.

The room itself was tolerable. It was spacious and half-renovated. It had a decent new couch and coffee table. Bed was ver comfortable - no problems sleeping! There were also enough chairs for eating and for using the other table. There was a fully stocked kitchen but it looked at least 20 years old. Washroom had no hand-held shower, but liquid soaps, shampoos and lotions were OK. Poorly-positioned power outlets. Overall, you could still tell that the room had parts and labour that were from the last century. Amenities were in disrepair: the gym had a broken ceiling panel. The pool change rooms were closed and looked un-welcoming as the ceilings were cut open and the walls were broken. The pool also looked like the 1980s. Rooftop was locked and couldn't see it. I understand the labour shortages and unwillingness for people to work during the pandemic but they could have closed the entire area off and we would have understood. Communication about this was non-existent. Only two elevators and they are both quite small for a hotel, which is in a 21-story building shared with local apartments. They also did not say to "simply leave your keycard" to checkout. I had to call to confirm. Price was reasonable, given inflation and the location (3 minute walk to a lively mall and Atwater Station). However, I would probably not stay again if they do not fully upgrade their rooms and renovate their facilities.

I parked under the Forum, across the street for $20 a day. I’ve stayed here many times, excellent value and location. Full kitchen and all rooms have a balcony. It’s my go to place I check first.

This is a good property especially for the kitchenettes in all rooms, the pool, the sauna, the balcony, the location, and the rooftop terrace. Covid still limits the usability of some of these features but it's overall good.

PROS: Perfect downtown location 1 block for hundreds of restaurants and shopping on St. Catharines St 1 block to theatres and shopping mall with metro station. Studio apartment with small full kitchen, extremely comfortable pillow top bed and sofa bed, safe, balcony. 19th floor view of Mt Royal. Amazing lights at night. Clean unit. Kevin at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was okay with my unit. He provided two taxi numbers and helped me get onto hotel's WIFI. He is a great asset to the hotel. CONS Could use more utensils, pillows were very lumpy (always bring my own anyway) All hotel rooms are on either 19 or 20 floor. All lower floors are rented out to full time tenants now. If you don't like heights this is not the place but I must say the night views are spectacular. Although it's not fancy, the size of the unit and the fact that you have a fridge for food and you can do your own cooking is great. With the sofa bed it can accommodate 4 people. Would stay there again. Very reasonable price for a downtown apartment hotel.

I ended up never staying at this hotel, because when I arrived to check in, I was told that my reservation has changed to a different hotel without any notice. No phone calls or email to give me any notice. It's possible that COVID restrictions were to blame, or a miscommunication problem occurred. I ended up staying at Hotel Ruby Foo's, which is a nice hotel. Unfortunately, it was on the outskirts of the city, not near downtown like I chose the Belvedere hotel for. So I ended up spending more on transportation around the city. I least the hotel clerks called a taxi to transfer me to Ruby Foo's, which I then had to pay for. So, I'm upset about that. One of several hassles I had to deal with during my time in Montreal during COVID-19. So 3 stars for Ruby Foo's, 2 stars for La Tour Belvedere apartment hotel.

Poorly managed property. Stay away from this place if you don't want to end up with no light in the bathroom for 3 days like I did. I had to ask them twice to fix it and eventually they fixed the light the day before I checked out. When I asked at the reception for the second time to fix the lights, the employee said it was not his problem (!) and suggested that I send an email to some email address asking to fix it. I said I was not supposed to send any emails and it was their responsibility to fix it. At this point the guy became quite edgy and started saying: "Do you want this email or not?" It was clear he wouldn't be helpful so I took the email and wrote a message asking to fix the light ASAP. Some guy showed up in my room without any tools (!), took a knife from the kitchen (!) and unscrewed the switch with it, then said he needed some spare part so he would come the next day. He left the switch unscrewed with live wires sticking out, and leaving all the construction dust and debris on the floor in the bathroom (!). He fixed it when I was about to check out. When I first entered the room, there was no soap, no garbage bins, no coffee machine, no kettle, no plates, no utensils even though they advertise it as an apartment hotel so I had to ask them to bring things. The balcony next to mine had a stack of winter tires and some dirty carton boxes (?). Decide for yourself if that is the place you'd like to stay at in Montreal.

Room was spacious and suitable for our needs. Great location. Bed was comfortable. Pullout bed was very uncomfortable- the springs were at the surface. The toilet wasn’t working and we had to fix it ourselves as got no support from the front desk.

Still recommended due to its excellent location and great value, but..... ...not as highly as many previous visits. Like other hotels and restaurants, they are clearly having staffing problems. The front desk is often unmanned and when you try to dial the front desk from your room, your call will often go unanswered. All the furniture has been removed from the lobby. I was actually thrown out to wander the hot streets when I arrived before the 4 PM check-in time. It's good the hotel takes social distancing seriously, but this mistaken policy needs to change. There is nothing wrong with having one or two chairs in the lobby far apart and requiring guests to wear masks. Also, the front door is locked 24/7. The only way to gain admittance is at check-in to call -- a huge issue for those of us without cellphones. Again, this policy needs to change. At the very least, guests should be warned/

The Pros: Bed was comfortable and location was close to many shops and restaurants. The Cons: The apartment was old and kinda gross. Carpet was nasty, had to wear shoes all the time. It's one of those places that works, but you're glad to be done with it. Definitely not worth the money we paid...
