Nothing peculiar or extravagant about this hotel. Staff were nice. But the room they gave me was on the fourth floor. I have to drag my luggages up using stairs because elevator was not available.. I got it for 850/nyt. Good price for location.
Booked 2 rooms. One room facing the garden which was a nice view. The other room was facing the road which was ok. This hotel is outdated but not relevant to me because I just want a place to sleep in and stay for 2 nights.
The swimming pool is located under a giant acacia tree which gave it a beautiful view. It was very quiet when my husband, brother and his wife, my niece, including myself went swimming. We had the pool just to ourselves.
The location of this hotel is perfect if you're planning to go to Corregidor, shopping and most of all eat out, this hotel is for you.
Well the overall ambiance when you enter the hotel is quite good for a budget hotel.
The only thing I didn't like is the bathroom. The hot water in the shower was weak. There's no mat at the bathroom so its quite messy (seems there's a leak coming from the toilet bowl). I tried calling the front desk but there's no answer. Anyways, i thought i'll stay for only a night and I arrived around 1 am so I decided not to bother. The wifi connection is poor too.
Hotel is conveniently located for many of Manila's tourist attractions. The room had the benefit of kitchen facilities, though the supply voltage seemed low causing the stove to struggle to get up to a sensible temperature for cooking.
I shared the room with a mouse for the last three days that the staff seemed quite disinterested in doing anything about.
In other respects the hotel was a pleasant stay - the door staff in particular were very helpful in getting taxis and giving advice.
Generally, the place is good. It isn't a hotel but a condo studio unit that is being rented out for transients. The unit is clean and the aircon is great, which is a must in Manila.
There was no staff to clean the place daily so basically you are on your own, which is ok with me. The only downside is that towels are not changed daily. The bathroom sink was not draining- I couldn't locate the thing that controls the stopper and there was no one to ask for assistance. I used the kitchen sink so it was ok.
The transpo guy who picked me up at the airport upon my request was very nice. I would definitely use his service again if I have to. A bit more $ than a regular airport taxi, I think, but I am one who pays extra for safety and convenience.
