Great location, friendly, helpful staff.

We had a great time in London, this location is close to so many sites of interest. Food costs are a bit steep. Bed didn't work well for us, but may work well for others. (this a very individual thing).

Nice hotel but tiny family rooms....

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Location Cleanliness
Cons: Tiny family rooms Porters for luggage Fix the luggage scale!
Location: The London Eye Big Ben Westminster Abbey
We stayed at this hotel in August of 2014. The family rooms are small. The couch next to the bed was a fold-away bed. This was enough for our young girls. When both beds were down there was barely any space in front of the desk. The rooms were clean and well kept. There didn't seem to be anyone available to bring our luggage up to our room. We didn't ask anyone for help but in most hotels this is the first thing they offer upon entering the hotel. The scale to weigh our luggage was broken and they didn't offer any other suggestion to solve the problem. The breakfast buffet was good but very crowded. The space seemed a tad small for amount of people at breakfast. There can be a short wait if you don't arrive early. The location of the hotel was great, about a 10 minute walk to the London Eye and maybe 10-15 minutes to Westminister Abbey and Big Ben. Overall, the staff was very nice but the rooms were a little small for us. If you are going to the Eye and Madame Tussards's pay extra for the fast pass. With the passes we had a ten minute wait at both places. The line for Madame Tussard's could be as long as 3 or 4 hours without it, and it rains a lot too so that could be a horribly long wait.

Convenient location

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, and front desk
Cons: More hangers and drawer space
Location: Short walk to Underground, fifteen minute walk to Big Ben and Westminster Bridge
Reception was very professional and helpful. Short walk to Underground. Lovely walk along the Thames to reach Big Ben, London Eye, and other attractions. Not enough storage for clothing. Rooms are a bit small

Nice hotel - close to Big Ben

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: It was a shirt walk to mast landmarks, Big Ben, London eye, south bank, London dungeon
Cons: Staff knowledge, if you are not going to have a designated concierge then make sure the staff are aware of events going on and bus timetable
Location: Big Ben, London eye, south bank, London dungeon p, the aquarium, big bus and the jump on jump off bus
nice Hotel, the one thing I found lacking is the hotel staff knew nothing.... I was in London during the 100 year WW1 rememberance and when I asked the staff why all the landmark buildings were blacked out, all I got was blank stares, this happened on numerous occasions when I asked a question. We ate at the restaurant once ... There were only three tables occupied when we arrived, it took 20 mins to find someone to ask for a menu and then another 15 before they came back !! On the plus side, the hotel is a short walk to Big Ben and the London eye. The closest under ground is Lambeth Nth

Good Location

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Location: Was within reasonable walking distance to the London Eye, Big Ben, & Westminster Abbey.
We had a nice experience. Good location. Close to the eye, big ben, & Westminster abbey. Also really close to the roundabout from National Lampoon's European Vacation where they get stuck in the center. :)

Good hotel

Posted 02-Aug-2014
Cons: Extractor fan in bathroom did not appear to work. Shower tended to leak onto the bathroom floor.
Location: A fair way to walk to tube stations.
Good room, good breakfast (at reasonable price when prepaid at checkin).

Nice hotel, clean and quiet very close to Big Ben

Posted 31-Jul-2014
We enjoyed our stay very much. About the hotel: clean, quiet, close to the heart of London. The air conditioning unit was very quiet, the room was big and it had a pull out sofa so it was very convenient for three people. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is located about 10 minutes walk to the Westminister tube station but there are also busses stations nearby that run every few minutes. Overall, great experience.

Nice Hotel in good location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was a little on the small side for a family of four...could hardly walk around the beds...air conditioning was locked and a bit warm...but ok for one night....was able to check in early which was great.

Great location, clean room.

Posted 30-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, clean
Location: London eye, Westminster abbey, parliament buildings and Big Ben, Waterloo station
We stayed for 2 nights with our family of four. The hotel is very convenient for seeing the london eye, parliament and Big Ben and west minster abbey (10 minute walk). The nearest tube station is about a 5 minute walk. The room was clean and modern, a bit tight with the sofa bed pulled out but all rooms in London are small. Would recommend the hotel.
