"Obviously being next to the station is an advantage and having a spacious entrance is great. Staff were friendly and breakfast and dinner were both tasty although the fried eggs are usually over cooked so ask for a dipper if you like to be able to do that. In terms of negatives the decor is looking tired rooms are compact and the lift is a bit temperamental."

"Nice little Inn. Room with castle view which is currently under construction (May 2024) but will probably be lovely when done. Food was OK and front desk attendant was nice.Most enjoyed our room which was in a little cottage across the street from the office. Very convenient to the shops and high street of the local area. "

"I have stayed here a few times over the last year on business trips. Friendly, clean and tidy and good value for money. The King and double bedrooms I have stayed in are spacious and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Nice touch that when they get to recognise you as a regular, a room upgrade is simply done as a nice gesture without asking - excellent customer service that puts the guest first. Happened at least three times fairly recently "
