"Altguish inn was an unexpectedly nice stay that we experienced on out nc500 trip. The hotel is out of nowhere in the middle of the road with no attractions nearby. An old cute hotel. They have ample parking, and 1 slow electric charger in the carpark. The restaurant served good english breakfast. The sausages were amazing. The bar was good. The service was excellent. "This was a pleasant surprise on my last night in the UK. I'd had no luck finding a place in Inverness near the airport and settled here instead. The single room was plenty big for me, the ensuite was a nice touch, and the pub downstairs had surprisingly good food when I was too tired to go back out. The location is great, 15 minutes on a straight shot to the airport, and walkable to the beach. The staff at the bar were all friendly and helpful, and walked me through using the car park, wifi,...

"Without question, this was the worst hotel I've stayed in, in years. There was no manager on duty when we arrived (late afternoon - certainly not off-hours), so one of the bartenders had to check us in - and she seemed put out by it. The room had not been cleaned properly; there was a *USED* condom in the bathroom!!!! And, the drain in the *tiny* shower stall didn't work. Again; no manager to be found, so I had to deal with another rude bar server again. They took care of removing the condom...

"The property had a great view and a convenient location. The balcony was nice. It is a little loud at night when you have the windows/balcony door open, which we did because it was warm. I appreciated the milk for coffee in the fridge. The coffeeshop across the street is fantastic as well, and the river is right there. Staff were super communicative and helpful when we had a travel-related issue. Would absolutely stay again. "
