"Lovely place to stay. Great ambience, comfortable bed, quiet location. The staff were all amazing. For our 5 day stay, I had a relaxing breakfast downstairs, and then requested my wife's breakfast in our room. On the 4th day of our stay, I forgot to order her breakfast before I returned to our room. Shortly after I got there, the phone rang. It was reception asking if my wife would like her breakfast sent up. It doesn't get better than that!"

"The location was excellent. Easy two block walk to the Bayswater tube station on the circle line. Easy to hail a cab. Many great restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. The rooms were very clean though the beds were very hard. I asked about changing rooms to get a different bed and was given a mattress topper, which helped slightly. Breakfast was great. It's optional but worh it. "

"The geographic situation is perfect in the center of Portobello market. The view from the room makes you feel a part of it. The room itself was cosy with a sixties feeling and the bed was comfortable. There was even a basket with citruses and the ingredients to add to a glass of Gin if you so wished...On the downside, the corridor and stairs to get there were very dark and could do with a sorrow clean and brightening up..."

"Mixed review. The building location was great. The room was smallish but that was well advertised. The amenities were there but all did NOT work. Most notably was the ceiling fan. Small rooms on hot London days and nights without proper ventilation is rough. Management did NOT fix during my stay but instead offered a small (maybe 4-5 inch) table top fan that was grossly inadequate to cool the room. "It was a very clean and nice hotel. Located in a nice area and Very close to tube station. I also loved the garden as well. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom looks renovated and very nice. The only thing is; our room was below the ground floor because we needed a room for 5 people, we could hear the underground trains but it wasn’t so bad because we were already very tired and fell asleep :) Overall it was a very good value for money.
