"The staff was very friendly and helpful. What made the room awesome was the view of the city. The breakfast buffet was not the best. I don’t recommend it if you want great breakfast. It was a vegan breakfast but you can order a small meat plate from the servers there. But it’s just deli meats. 😫 The huge plus for us was its right by their huge train station. There’s some dining and tons of little shops for last minute gifts. I would recommend the hotel because it was convinced to the train station. "

"The room is spacious and very very clean. A couple minutes walking from subway and bus stations, it out of the city center yet an easy reaching hotel. Staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast has many choices of food and, quiet a few restaurants around. Also across the street from the zoo and one of the major palaces. "

"This hotel was a RIOT! Let me first say, would *absolutely* stay here again. Stayed with young kids in summer. Convenient location via subway/bus to train station, zoo/palace (15-min walk to edge of palace grounds), downtown, etc. Lovely, safe neighborhood; grocery store just steps away. Had read reviews & knew the exterior of the building did not reflect the quality of the room inside. However, the outside & entrance of this building is SO rough & derelict-looking, that even our Uber driver wasn't sure if he should leave us there alone, after dark, with children. We arrived 9pm, & getting up to our room felt like a scene from a horror movie. There are NO LIGHTS on the outside of the building or in the entrance-way! Pitch black!! Had to use flashlights on our phones, all the way up to the 2nd-floor where our room was located. There is no lobby; received "check-in" instructions via email day before, which involved phoning a number while standing on the dark sidewalk; after 2-3 rings, no one answered, but the door magically clicked open. In thru the entrance, still using flashlights, past graffiti & garbage to a creepy old staircase (no elevator, you ask? HA - they don't even have LIGHTS); located our room on 2nd floor (hooray for hallway lights up there), and key was in lockbox on door. Imagine our surprise when the room was delightfully clean, pleasant, comfortable, welcoming, warm, well-stocked kitchen, with laundry machine! Had a great stay, and made for a great story. "

"We visited Maximillian a month earlier (actually looking for another property that had closed). After meeting Erica at reception, we knew we would choose Maximillian ! So generous and pleasant, Erica took time to advise us about many aspects for our next Vienna visit. Upon return last week, Erica remembered us and introduced us to Samuel... another gracious and thoughtful younf host. Maximillian is new, modern, luxurious. But, it's Vienna. There are lots of those. For us, it's the people. Samuel and Erica are only two of the entire staff representing a property who clearly promotes a "Customer Care" philosophy. We don't need to look for a place in Vienna for next time. Maximillian ! "
