Absolutely no room service, no room cleaning, ice cream bowls left lying in the room for all 4 days till we checked out. Doors are old and rusty, Room wall colours are absolutely dull and negative with green, red and Hospital type colours. Cushions were dirty god knows when they were cleaned. Bed sheets were Torn and dusty, can you believe it?
It was called a Budget Hotel but for almost 6500 per day, it was not even worth a 2000 lodge room. Even breakfast bills were not prepared and signed so that guests know what are they charged and how much amount they are liable to pay.
The whole focus was on minting money on the new year festive season with no attention given to make customer comfortable, wanted, needed and served.
Photographs shown on website were complete fake and did not look even inch closer to reality that we saw.
ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE TO BE IN GOA.
This hotel is very good value for money. The staff are very friendly and the hotel attracts significant number of Indian guests as well as from the rest of world and has a great atmosphere. The terrace restaurant provided basic local and international menu options and was tasty and freshly cooked. There is no bar, but a shop next door and fridges in rooms. it is very close to beach and a ten minute leisurely walk to centre of Calungute
"Reasonably good facility for a relaxing holiday!"
Good facility with a Pool and a Pool side Bar, there is no Car Park and this is definitely a Negative for they cud have converted some place inside the hotel as a car park and that was easily doable.. Friendly staff, the first day service was poor, but we were late a little in the morning for breakfast and thats absolutely tolerable.. I wud rate this a good hotel certainly not the best...
We only stayed for one night before catching our flight out of the airport near Vasco de Gama, but the setting was quiet and removed from any hustle or bustle. I assume the resort is a favorite of Indian families, and probably most appropriate for those travelers who wanted to have a spacious retreat in Goa without spending a fortune. Getting to a beach would involve some amount (30 minutes perhaps?) of travel by vehicle, but the pool looked nice and since we were some of the few guests, had the place almost entirely to ourselves.
The staff was gracious and the front-desk attendants spoke excellent English, not a necessity necessarily but a nice plus. They helped arrange for a late-night taxi to the airport at a fair rate, which was much appreciated.
One thing to note is that our expedia printout listed Nuvem in North Goa, which confused every taxi driver and person we asked for assistance in making our way there from Panaji/Panjim. The resort is not far north from Margao and tucked into the hills behind a Tata dealership in/near Nuvem as of January 2013, if that helps in locating it.
We had an awesome trip to goa and the hotel being so close to Calangute helped a lot. Hotel was safe to visit with Females, however the staff was not up to the mark for room service. Even to fetch water, we have to go and fill it, but all in all it can be neglected because the hotel was fine and the trip went Freaking Awesome.
