Very nice property. Old and felt historic but modern at the same time. The lifts can be a little wonky but outside of that very nice.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Manchester. Good dining / champagne/ cocktail bar facilities. Hotel location 5* Rooms tastefully decorated. A few negatives - rooms next to the risers suffer from very disturbing mechanical noises. To their credit reception offered to relocate me. Strangely the hotel allows people to take phone and cameras into the spa pool attracting many pouting instagrammers. This distracts from the exclusivity they are trying to create.

This hotel is in an excellent area for tourists especially. It has good rail and underground services very close by. But a lot of popular attractions are a short walking distance away. The view from the front of the hotel is of The houses of Parliament and Big Ben. So you can walk to many interesting places. We were given a free upgrade as a perk from Expedia. Which is always good. It had everything needed and more. Great to get a seperate bath and shower. Excellent and varied lighting choices. Clean and modern, like the hotel. Fridge kettle. Even a microwave. If you were staying in London for a long stay, this room would be excellent. We had 2 double beds. One could be a settee. 2 Tvs. And a good view. I dont however know what the room I had booked would be like of course.The bar was nice with a good view. And the hotel has all the other facilities you would need. I do enjoy a long weekend in London fairly often, and this is definitely a hotel I will return to
