"A lovely hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food in the bar was excellent with good service. Easy walking distance to a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely relaxing spa facilities after a day out walking. Good central location for walkers. Accomodation was comfortable and clean. Would give it a higher rating than 3 star. Would definitely recommend to family and friends."

"Ample parking at rear and walkable distance to town. Good internet speeds and the breakfast was generous in portions and excellent quality. The owner is always up for a chat in the morning at breakfast with friendly advice on the days plans or just to talk weather. The rooms are on the small side and there are stairs to contend with so just take up an overnight bag from the car and you will be fine and avoid swinging cats in the bathroom "

"A pretty little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Paul and Elena are so welcoming and provided us with tons of information about the local area. We loved sitting outside the cottage with a brew (lots of tea/coffee provided) and a book and were lucky with the weather. The bed is super comfy, bathroom facilities great with big fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Everywhere was spotless - not a speck of dust anywhere! Elena cooks a fabulous fry-up and there was loads of fresh fruit, juice, cereals, yoghurt, toast and tea and coffee. We could not have asked for more. Betws-Y-Coed is beautiful and a 15-minute walk to the village. We also walked to Swallow Falls and the Ugly House, which is the cutest little tea shop. The surrounding area is just stunning to explore, whether you are an ardent walker or a casual stroller. A perfect few days away and would definitely recommend!"

"Super friendly manager and perfect for a short stay in Betws y Coed. Rooms were clean and there were several amenities that i was hoping for. Tremendous hiking trail right behind the hotel. I highly recommend The Dragon. "
