Perfect hosts in an amazing building! You would struggle to find more genuine, hospitable and friendly people than Carrie and Mike. Outside there is plenty of parking and beautiful grounds. Step inside, the rooms are generous, clean and with everything you could need. The breakfasts are lovely and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back, thank you!

People can make a place, the hotel owners make this place what it is. They made us feel extremely welcomed, and the story of the hotel became part of our adventure. Thank you for the stay.

We stayed at the property for 3 days and loved it. Mike and Carrie who own this property are a fabulous host and they made sure our stay is fully comfortable. My boys loved it when they chocolates on the day we were climbing the Snowdon mountain. The property is situated at a very good location not far from Betws-y-coed and the great part is Mike and Carrie have so well maintained the original character of this manor. We 100% recommend staying at this place.

Very nice place to stay! 100% recommendable to traveleres with family, especially with a dog! Mike and Carrie are quite experts providing useful tips about where to go and what to do in Snowdonia. Cold breakfast itself is very nice, but strongly recommend to have hot meals served by Mike. Nobody can help loving Penaeldroch!

My family of four loved our stay! These guys made us feel so at home. From the Welcome treats to the home cooked delicious breakfast (made earlier for us so we could make our climb), we were totally pampered. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay again.

We all enjoyed our stay here, Mark and Carrie are perfect hosts, nothing is too much bother, it's an old house but inside they have refurbished the accommodation to a very high standard. Can whole heartedly highly reccommend a stay here. Thankyou both for a memorable stay, hope to visit again with either bikes or kayaks on the car to see how work has progressed.

Great place to stay in north Wales

Absolute beautiful and wonderful place to stay. A very pleasant surprise for our trip to northern Wales! The house is an older lodge that has been converted after years of neglect to a terrific bed and breakfast. The owners are lovely and hospitable, making the stay even better.

Lovely family stay

My family of four just spent 3 nights at Plas Penaeldroch and everything was exceptional!! All our expectations were exceeded. Our hosts went far above the call of duty to ensure we had a lovely stay. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to return ourselves someday.

Lovely return stay

We returned here having stayed a couple of years ago. The location is stunning in the wilderness but very convenient for Betws y Coed. The suites are very comfortable, spacious and clean. Mike and Carrie are very kind, generous hosts who like to make you feel at home.

We had a wonderful experience whilst staying at the Penaeldroch Manor. Mike and Carie were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and spacious and had wonderful views of the river Lledr. The locally sourced morning breakfast was fantastic and set up for the rest of the day. 11 out of 10! There were four of us--two teens, myself (the mom) and my dad. I had a bit of a time finding reasonable accommodation that would fit us all, but the top floor suite was perfect! With two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a pullout sofa bed, everyone had their own bed (very comfortable beds too!) and space. My teens loved the welcome snacks (they were delicious and gone in a flash), plus we were welcomed kindly when we checked in and asked what we would like to drink. Perfect after a long day outside. There is a full kitchen and they have an excellent selection of teas, a nice espresso set up, and many other drink options. We asked about local walking trails and received excellent recommendations. You can walk right out the door and off you go. You can even take an old Roman road to Betws-y-coed. We took a long meander in the morning and then my son opted for the full breakfast, which he said was delicious. We will definitely stay again when we return to Wales. Thank you!!

When we arrive we wasn’t sure about the place as it looked a bit run down from outside and a bit spooky but inside it was absolutely beautiful. Renovated and cleaned. Pets welcome is a bonus. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Lovely relaxing stay in the Manor

We had a lovely stay at Plas Penaeldroch Manor. Cerrie and Mike made the place feel like home, couldn't do enough for us and our Dog. We had everything we needed for a very comfy and relaxing stay! They made a great breakfast and were very knowledgeable on the area and history of the Manor. We were really close to everywhere we wanted to visit which made life a lot less in the car and more time to explore.We would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends!

What a wonderful stay my family and I had at the most charming of place, and the most charming hosts. Great relaxing, comfortable room with some really nice touches that made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend for a family that needed a place home from home that they could recharge, relax and made them comfortable for the adventures the area has to offer. Unique B B with great owners who don’t rush things and get it right. Suite is perfect for families and breakfast is cooked fresh if required. Couldn’t be happier especially when compared to larger/established hotels and B B in the area. Kids loved it. Will be back next year. Thanks.

Absolutely wonderful!

Mike and Carrie were the best hosts possible. We loved sitting and chatting with them over a cup of tea. Interesting history for the place. Please don't let the external construction turn you off from one of the best places to have as a vacation base for Snowdonia. Their pup Lola is the best hospitality manager around. We had a family room - 2 bed/2 bath that was perfect. Leaving the windows open we could hear the river below the property. Will definitely be going back.
