A wonderful stay in the heart of Stone Town! We stayed at Emerson Spice during our trip to Zanzibar and what a fantastic place it is! The hotel is full of character, with beautiful traditional architecture and a real sense of Zanzibar’s history. Quite far to get to from Stonetown but a stunning location. It’s boutique hotel so not the facilities of a mega resort but the local friendly staff arranged a couple of excellent things for me and I really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere. Great food too with sea views. I also enjoyed a massaged in a small hut by the sea so could hear the surf.

It was the first hotel we stayed in Zanzibar for sightseeing purpose in world heritage Stone town. We stayed for two nights in the first week of Dec and enjoyed the stay. Excellent location for the purpose. We picked sea view room. The taste of interior was excellent. Park Hyatt style with nice color fabric and sturdy furniture. Small and classy property where you are a name not a number. Staff went out of their way to please and hotel prices for food and drink excellent. I travelled with two teenagers and location on a great beach with a water sports centre on site could not have been better

We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

This is an exceptional hotel. The location was excellent for exploring Stone Town and beyond. The staff was professional, polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. A truly unique hotel.

What an astonishing place! Really friendly staff and the owners are lovely. Well run and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the communal spaces to make them as inviting and relaxing as possible. The bedroom was great and had everything we needed and the location is fantastic - a little back from the main streets so nice and quiet but close to everything you want to see.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Zanzibar and would highly recommend it, especially for families or anyone looking for a relaxed break rather than the more touristy feel of some of the other beaches and resorts. The hotel is beautifully located close to the beach, with each room being very spacious and easily accessible. The breakfast buffet is vast and really good with crepes and omelettes made to order! We especially enjoyed the Masai dancing and the Italian-themed seafood barbecue held...

We had a trouble at check in which was resolved quickly by the helpful staff. The room was clean and had a hairdryer in the bathroom. We loved the rooftop pool. Plenty of breakfast options and a beautiful beach. The location is perfect and we felt very safe there.
