"The hotel is very new next to the new stadium sports complex which is one year old.
There was some problems with the shower door and safe but the staff quickly moved us to another room.
Breakfast and room service were very good.
The shower has excellent strong water pressure and air cons work very well.
You have to get a taxi into the centre of stone town which will cost you USD15 each way, but it is worth for the convenience of being away from the hustle and bustle - it was peaceful. "
"Nice peaceful quiet property. The staff were always cheerful and are happy to answer any questions. The property itself has a rustic charm and the grounds are vast. "
"Beautiful boutique hotel in Stone Town! Very friendly and attentive staff, lovely breakfasts, charming and quiet garden and outdoor dining area, spacious rooms. A fantastic experience overall and would def recommend!"
"A beautiful hotel, with lovely friendly happy staff, who always gave a huge morning welcome at breakfast time. Delicious healthy breakfast and the best coffee, I've tasted in a long time, I had to go back for another. I felt very safe and it's in a great location to get to/from the ferry and to walk around to the shops and restaurants. "
"Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. "
"The property is really beautiful and has a lovely restaurant on the second floor with a great view of the ocean. My only complaint is that they didn't have a beer/wine selection, but that was minor."

Go to Forodhani park in the evenings and get shawarmas from Arnoldi's with everything. Then go sit down at the Merting point cafe and order their mango and lime juice and enjoy the best shawarmas and juice in town. Thank me later👍

Great history. Slave market visit was an eye opener and made me reflect about the wickedness of human beings and the goodness of other who fought to abolish slavery.

A lot of history there! And a lot of fun tourist-y shopping available just walking through the streets.

Remember this is still a poor town overall and there are many people just trying to make a living so do not be surprised when you are frequently asked to shop, hire or just hand money out.

The old town near the coast is nice, but aimed at tourists. Most are selling the same sort of souvenirs and T shirts

"I stayed at Zanzibar Palace Hotel from June 8 to June 10 and had an amazing experience. The hotel is full of character, with beautiful Zanzibari decor and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect—close to all the sights, yet quiet at night. A true gem in Stone Town. Highly recommended!"
"We had a great stay in this historical building. The room (especially the sheets) were clean, the building was amazing (make sure to check out the view from the roof), we enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were great (and available 24/7). A great place to stay in Stone Town."
