"This was my second stay at the Hilton Mar Caribe Bay. and the service was excellent. This time the resort appeared much more crowded, and unfortunately the difference showed in the overall experience.
Cleanliness around the property was inconsistent, with dishes and trash sometimes left unattended. My room was also not cleaned during the day until I requested it after returning around 3 PM.
I paid for an Enclave expecting access to the Chala Lounge and the added privacy and services that come with that upgrade. However, the lounge was frequently closed for private events, which limited access during most of my five-day stay. Because of that, the Enclave upgrade did not provide the benefits I expected.
That said, I do want to recognize a few outstanding staff members who made a positive impression: Reyes and Johanna near the pool, and Carlos in the Chala Lounge when it finally reopened toward the end of the trip. Their service was excellent.
Overall, the resort is beautiful and the ocean views are wonderful, but during this stay the value of the upgraded room did not match the experience."
