"Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"Breakfast: very good Japanese style breakfast"

"蛍がたくさん見れました。"

"My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and a great experience staging in a traditional ryokan. The staff was helpful and very attentive to our needs, and they included tea and Japanese sweets upon arrival. "The staff was very accommodating. There aren't any restaurants around, so including meals with your reservation is highly recommended. "

"The western room was large & spacious, however the decor and amenities are quite dated (tv, towels, etc.). Nonetheless we did have everything we needed during our stay. Unfortunately as I have tattoos, I was unable to use any of their bathing areas but was able to once in the centre of town at other onsen locations (make sure you check first!)."

"This ryokan was beautiful. We stayed in a refurbished room with a shower and balcony, which was modern and clean, though a bit small for two people and two suitcases. The front staff member was decent with English and everyone was very accommodating. Note that this ryokan accepts luggage forwarding, and parking is ~1000yen per night."

"Excellent rooms, staff and food. Will come back soon"

"Hotel is beautiful and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had fantastic dinner and breakfast."

"Amazing stay, incredibly helpful staff that can’t do enough for you, lovely private Onsen in the hills. Must visit if in the area"
