HOTEL THE BOTANIK SEWOON MYEONGDONG
"Stayed as a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids aged 9 and 16 years) in a 2 bed suite, for 3 nights in July 2026. We found the hotel easy to access, super clean and friendly staff. The room was on the 20th floor with a Namsan View - looking towards the Namsan Seoul Tower. It was spotless, modern, spacious and very comfortable. The room was well equipped with a kitchenette, fridge and microwave, plus a washing machine, dryer and clothing care cabinet. Laundry detergent sachets were available to buy from reception, cheaply. The only drawback was limited crockery and cutlery for the size of the room. The location was great. Close enough to walk to Cheonggyecheon stream (1-min!), Gwangjang Market, Myeongdong and night market, However far enough away to escape the crowds and constant hustle and bustle. When we didn't feel like walking, it is really close to at least 3 underground stations (Euljiro 3-ga, Euljiro 4-ga and Jongno 3-ga). There is a roof terrace which is great to view Seoul in the evening and a small supermarket outside reception which was well stocked. We didn't use the wider hotel facilities such as the games room or screening room. The staff were friendly and helpful, organising a taxi for us to the airport."

"This was my second time using this property. The room was clean and I mostly loved cleaning bedding and towels. Staffs were kind, efficient and professional. This location is close to various shopping centers and near by attractions. Would stay here again."

"Convenient location, close to everything. 10 min easy walk from Seoul station, the hotel is located in the middle of gastronomic heaven with tons of cafes and restaurants. Quite a small rooms but enough for comfortable stay, super clean and well maintained. Decent breakfast is highly recommended. Super helpful staff. Self storage for your bags in case you need to keep it after the check out. Bottled water in the room, mini store right at the hotel door and 7-11 in 1 min walk."

"Hotel is very clean all staff are very friendly courteous and helpful. Location perfect for solo traveler like me. Just walk 1-2 minutes from subway , train station! Highly recommend. I highly recommended their restaurant on the 27th floor great food western and Asian fusion"

"The hotel is centrally located with the Lotte shopping mall just downstairs. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and it is just amazing for convenience. I would say that its very expensive and we didn't opt for breakfast this time. We had to pay extra to use the traditional Korean spa so we didn't use it this time either."

About Yeouido
Yeouido is a clean and modern part of Seoul on the south bank of the Han River. It features wide roads, tall buildings and abundant areas of parkland. The South Korean national government buildings are located here and so are the headquarters of large companies like LG. Three bridges across the Han give easy access to the district of Mapo, while Subway lines five and nine connect to the city’s transport network.
Don’t MissYeouido Hangang Park is a highlight for tourists and people staying at hotels in the locality. It stretches along the banks of the Han River and has lots paths for cycling and walking plus plenty of grassy zones to relax in on summer days. There are a couple of pagodas too. The park is the venue for the city’s Cherry Blossom Festival in spring and the World Fireworks Festival six months later.
The landmark 63 Building is Yeouido’s most recognisable structure. It is 264 metres high and finished in gold. The top floor of the 63 has a viewing deck which gives sweeping views of Seoul and mountains in the distance. An art gallery was installed on this floor recently and has galleries packed with assorted exhibits and paintings.
The 63 Sea World Aquarium is one of Seoul’s most popular draws and attracts up to one million visitors every year. It is located in the building’s basement and is home to 400 sea animal species including penguins, sea-lions and varied colourful tropical fish. The 63 Wax Museum houses models of famous people including Vincent Van Gogh and Korean actress Lee Young-ae, plus a chamber of horrors.
Restaurants and BarsThe 63 is the place to go for a night out or meal in Yeouido. It offers the choice of dining on food from countries like Japan, China and Italy as well as fine Korean specialities. Walking on the Cloud is the flagship of the options and serves up steaks, lamb and lobsters with a choice of more than 300 different wines. Diners can combine their meals with a Korean traditional show at the 63’s Fanta-Stick Theatre.
ShoppingThe IFC Mall in Yeouido is an international standard shopping centre. This mall, along with with the mall at the 63 boast a great selection of shops. Shoppers are able to buy premium products from a good selection of brand-name outlets including Lacoste and Body Shop.
