"I normally don't write these but this particular stay had two low-lights.
1. Our room had a constantly wet floor by the window/AC unit, not sure why exactly but it stayed like that the entire time.
2. Someone ENTERED OUR ROOM AT NIGHT, another guest checking in had been given keycard access to our room and of course assumed it was empty. They were very apologetic, and thankfully my wife and I were still awake watching TV but our kids were asleep in the beds. If we were all asleep this would've been legitimately terrifying. The fact this happened was completely unacceptable."
"For what I paid and the value of the location, everything about the property met expectations. Some wear and tear was evident: chipping to the tub enamel, high-traffic areas darkening the carpet on the stairs, halls, and dining room, and so forth. Generally speaking I was very well pleased."
"I loved the Sherman Inn!! Jim and Donna were so friendly and I loved the history throughout. Truly a unique and wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious, the beds comfortable, the rooms were huge and you couldn’t ask for better company. I will stay again when in Ogdensburg. "
"Nothing fancy...and exactly what we needed. My son and I were visiting Clarkson, and just needed a no-frills place to stay. A couple of beds, wifi and a TV to wind down after a long drive, and a shower to get ready in the morning.
The Inn is right around the corner from campus, making it super convenient for a campus visit. And if you do happen to forget something, Walmart is right there too,
Reasonably priced, and the front desk was very polite and accommodating. And the muffins in the morning were nice to grab on the way out the door."
"I arrived later than expected and was greeted by locked doors. The manager was actually not on site but instead at there sister property a mile up the road. She immediately came over and handed me my keys. Super courteous and very friendly. A surprisingly pleasant experience "
"Obviously we stayed there out of season. Therefore, even for the shops, bars, restaurants that were open for business, unfortunately we didn’t make it to because it was freezing out. Walking around was definitely not happening. Property did have some
areas that would definitely benefit from maintenance work/normal wear and tear. "
