"Our room was beautifully decorated and tastefully updated. Property is on the gulf side of Key Largo, has a dock and beach area (perfect sunset location) as well as a pool. Convenient location with many food options near by. "

"We stayed one night on our way to Key West. We loved everything about our stay and we were really sad to leave. The staff was amazing (Tamika) was so pleasant and helpful on a couple of occasions. The sunset was amazing, the atmosphere of the Inn was so very peaceful. The view from our room was great. My gdaughter (8) was able to experience paddle boarding for the first time in the gorgeous waters of the bay. Everything about our one night stay was perfect. We hope we can return to the inn someday!!"

"This resort was absolutely amazing and exceeded all of my expectations. We originally booked just one night on our way to Key West, but after experiencing everything the property had to offer, we wished we had stayed much longer. If we have the opportunity to make this trip again, we would choose to stay here for our entire vacation and simply take a day trip or two to Key West. The resort offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time here. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would not hesitate to return or recommend it to others looking for the perfect Florida Keys getaway. The extra special touch was the gift for our anniversary. Breakfast."

Amara Cay Resort

"Although this is priced at a high end resort, there is nothing high end about it. Needs a lot of updating. Our room was very much in need of some deep cleaning and updating. We stayed on the 5th floor which smelled of pot the whole stay. Housekeeping was ok but very inconsistent. There is absolutely no beach to go swimming and the water was littered very badly. This is a $150 a night room all day! NOT $450! We took the shuttle a couple times as we were there for a wedding and the driver was not friendly at all. We did have a wonderful bartender inside tho! All in all.. A good trip because it was for a wedding just wouldn’t recommend Amara for the price point. Stay at the other sister resort down the road. Cheaper and more to offer!"
