"Great place to stay. Easy access instructions, beautiful room with comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of light but also blinds work well for the morning sunrise. Would recommend and return. Cane as a solo traveller and felt safe, there was even a door stop lodge in the room to place under the door from the inside which gave me more comfort knowing I was on my own and no one could get in. "

"Reception staff are lovely and very friendly Hotel has recently been upgraded and some work is still ongoing, some more work in the garden by the lake is required. There is a lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room which we luckily had complementary access to due to the ongoing works. Be aware that there is normally a charge of £20 per person/ per day Breakfast staff were a little rude and are too busy to clean plates from your table. Freshly cooked breakfast and a choice of cereal, fruit, cakes and toast"

"We have stayed at The Hideaway on numerous occasions, because we love it so much. Lovely staff, who are always so pleasant and helpful, and make you feel at home, as soon as you walk through the door. The en-suite rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, with contemporary furnishings and really comfortable beds. There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room. The breakfast is outstanding, with so much choice, and in addition, you have complimentary homemade cake to enjoy on every day of your stay. There is also ample free parking in the well maintained hotel grounds. The Hideaway is located in a very quiet area of Windermere village, with its choice of various restaurants and shops, only a five minute walk away."

"Beautiful. Elegant. Imposing. The hotel is a stunning place to stay. We got an upgrade room overlooking the lake. Fantastic location in Bowness-on-Windermere and a hot buffet breakfast overlooking the lake in the morning."

"This is our second visit to this hotel. It is well placed for wandering around the area and boat trips. The bedroom was spotless and bed comfy. All staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice "

"Everything was perfect, the staff were excellent and we were so happy to have chosen this place. The only negative feedback is that the Pizzas were not very nice however all the other food was absolutely amazing so please don't take this feedback the wrong way. The Manager Pauline I think her name was is a lovely person and made us feel welcome from start to finish. Thank you. 9.9/10 "
