"Our room looked out to the cathedral. It was spacious, a great bathroom with shower, and a copper bath in the bedroom. Staff here are outstanding, and Ely itself is compact, picturesque and very interesting indeed. Fabulous location to explore everywhere on foot, no vehicle required !"
The Dukes Head Hotel

"We stayed at The Dukeโs Head Hotel for three nights & on registering, we were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was lovely with a lounge, bedroom & bathroom, being very comfortable & clean. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Our booking included breakfast & there was a wide & good choice. We had an evening meal on our first night which was well presented & delicious. The hotel is ideally situated for getting around Kingโs Lynn. The only disadvantage is that although there is parking behind the hotel, it is a pay car park(ยฃ15 per 24hrs). The bath was quite deep which could be a problem for anyone with a physical disability to get in & out of, the shower being over the bath & was quite slippery. However, I would definitely stay here again if visiting Norfolk."

"The room was extremely good and the view over the river amazing. Itโs the first time weโve stayed in a guesthouse where you have a code for the main door, pick up your key and good to go. Didnโt see anyone else. Breakfast was the first time we saw any of the staff, extremely helpful and polite, breakfast was delicious but even though very well cooked the choice was only scrambled egg, sausages, crispy bacon and cooked tomato. Fine for a short stay, but I didnโt want cereal or fresh fruit and snakes, I do enjoy a cooked breakfast, needs a little choice rotation I think? Excellent stop over for a short break, Ely is a beautiful town. Would use again"

"Lovely!! Perfect location on route to coast. Stayed in the main house, super huge cosy twin room with everything we needed, really clean and beds comfy. Staff were super helpful from the moment we checked in, the pub next door was cute and welcoming bar staff and friendly guests all chatting. Managed to get a swim & steam in before checking out, loved it! Itโs not a modern hotel but clean and felt like a treat to stay. The tea & biscuits in the room was a nice touch. Would recommend ๐"

"Friendly lady in the reception/shop which was nice. The lodge was big and modern only let down by dirty carpets( various stains), dining room chairs and the settee. We also found the mattresses to soft. We didnโt complain as we were only there 3 nights but any longer then would be worth checking these things are sorted before booking. Good location, park nice and quiet."
