"What an amazing hotel. Staff friendly and professional too. Delicious food for Dinner and Breakfast. Very handy for a gig across Tuesday Market Place at Alive Corn Exchange King's Lynn. Disabled parking at the front of the hotel which was a huge bonus. The only disappointment was no accessible toilet on the ground floor. My friend struggled to get up a steep step with two heavy fire doors to get through. Not ideal. It's a shame to mention this, as overall we had a great memorable stay at The Duke's Head, but felt it was important to point this out for others who have accessibility concerns. "Staff were okay. No enthusiasm or whatsoever and just literally gave us the welcome paper and that's it. Restaurant staff were slightly better as they were a bit more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was basic and dry. We wanted to swim and use the pool with our baby but weren't allowed as they told us that there's only a time allowed for babies, however this wasn't explained to us upon checking in and a bit of consideration and 'hospitality' could go a long way as we requested that even a quick lounge would really be appreciated but nothing. Again, dry communication. "

"All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff. Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge! Mattress not the best though. Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight. Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic."
